Ahead of its official release on Friday, Nintendo has published a launch trailer for Splatoon 2. You can see it below.
First announced for the system in 2013, 90’s Arcade Racer was supposed to eventually end up on Wii U with Nicalis as the game’s publisher. After several years though, nothing materialized, and it has been difficult to obtain an update about the situation.
That brings us to Switch. Wii U is off the table at this point, but Nicalis appears to be bringing 90’s Arcade Racer to Nintendo’s new console instead under the name ’90s Super GP. The project is listed on the company’s revamped website.
’90s Super GP is still without a release date. But since it has a new name and is coming to a new console, hopefully it’s not too far off.
An overview of ’90s Super GP is posted below.
Early footage is in showing SplatNet 2 with Splatoon 2, the app connectivity with Nintendo Switch Online. Have a look at the video below.

A listing on the European eShop lists Retro City Rampage DX for Switch. Although a release date is not officially set, the store lists the title for July 27.
Here’s an overview of Retro City Rampage DX from the listing:
A new update was posted to the Japanese Twitter account for Splatoon 2. In a brief message added to the page, we’re given confirmation that the game will feature eight stages upon release that can be experienced in multiplayer.
The Reef, Mussleforge Fitness, Inkblot Art Academy, Humpback Pump Track, Starfish Mainstage, Port Mackerel, Sturgeon Shipyard, Moray Towers are in. We do know that Nintendo will be adding more stages down the road, with overall content updates planned for about a year.
Splatoon 2 will have more stages available than its predecessor at launch. For the original game, Nintendo offered just five stages.
The Nintendo Switch Online app debuted a bit earlier than expected when it made a surprise appearance on the App Store and Google Play last night. At the time, however, you couldn’t do much.
The good news is that the Nintendo Switch Online app is now functional. The bad news is that you still can’t do much. Without a copy of Splatoon 2, it doesn’t offer any functionality. You should be able to use it come Friday – or if you receive a copy early.
Koei Tecmo dropped a new video for Fire Emblem Warriors just a short while ago. The clip, which is in Japanese, gives us a look at Bond Conversations with some Japanese dialogue between Chrom and Marth. View the video below.
