Following its appearance in the Nintendo Spotlight presentation at E3, the official Japanese Xenoblade Chronicles 2 website opened. Even if you don’t know a lick of Japanese, it’s worth visiting since it contains four pieces of music from the game.

The page also introduces the world’s concept, some of the terms and characters used in the game. You can find a full translation of that below.

‘Arst’, world concealed by an ocean of clouds

There are numerous creatures living within the cloud ocean, this especially enormous creature is called a “Titan”
(Ars).
Humans have created a settlement on top of Ars.

* Note: Nintendo Treehouse used the term “Titan” for the giant creatures in the game.

‘Blade’

A variant life-form born when a human touches a core crystal.
Blade are born along with a weapon, dedicating their existence to the human that created them and growing alongside them. They’re cleaving a path through the conflict.

Not one, but two new trailers for Ever Oasis came out this week. Along with the E3 2017 trailer sent out a couple of days ago, there’s also a new “Chief” trailer. Have a look at it below.

The latest issue of Jump has another update on Dragon Quest XI. This time around, the game’s StreetPass feature is teased.

Here’s what we know:

– There is also a screenshot showing a number of different colored Yocchi fighting with different weapons
– As for what will happen by passing other players, what sorts of facilities exist in Yocchi Village
– June 26 issue will talk about the Yocchi’s actual purpose

The latest issue of Jump also introduces new characters. They are as follows:

  • Slot Machine – A man who wanted to win at the slots, turned into a slot monster.
  • Drum Goat – A chubby monster and master of the drum. It plays the drum and summons monsters.
  • Fairy Bat – A bat that takes advantage of its cute appearance to attack its enemies with charm.
  • Ghost Parasol – Attacks humans who pick it up mistaking it as an umbrella with its sharp claw.
  • Ebi Metal – A monster whose thick, hard shell protects it like metal, which an ordinary sword stands no chance against.
  • Drago Bishop – A leader of the dragon world, whose wealth of knowledge makes it a skilled teacher.
  • Megaton Keil – A monster who makes various poses to show off its muscles.
  • She-Golem – A golem made of coral, said to have been made as a destructive weapon long ago.

Some fans were a bit disappointed with this month’s Pokemon Direct due to a lack of news regarding a mainline Pokemon title for Switch. During E3 this week though, Nintendo remedied that. Nothing was shown, but during the Nintendo Spotlight broadcast, Pokemon president Tsunekazu Ishihara announced that Game Freak has started work on a core title for Switch.

Bloomberg asked Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime about the project following the presentation. He naturally didn’t have much to say, though he did note that it’s “a traditional find, battle, train type experience”.

While you wait for the first true Pokemon game for Switch, Pokken Tournament DX launches on September 22. Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon are also due out on November 17.

Just like that, another E3 is in the books. After weeks of hype and speculation, we now know of everything Nintendo had to show between its video presentation and hours of Treehouse streams.

For all of the talk about how long the presentation would be and how Nintendo would mainly be sticking to 2017 games, we arguably saw quite a lot. Not one, but two new Metroid games were announced. A core Pokemon title is in development for Switch. New Kirby and Yoshi titles are coming, not to mention Rocket League as well. Super Mario Odyssey looks fantastic and launches on October 27. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 releases this year despite speculation about it being pushed to 2018, and Fire Emblem Warriors is slated for the fall. 3DS saw some new announcements as well during the Treehouse stream between Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions and Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido.

So what did everyone think of this year’s E3? Did it live up to your expectations? Do you have any personal highlights? Let us know in the comments below.
