This past Thursday, the indie game Rorrim arrived on the Wii U eShop. Take a look at a few minutes of gameplay footage below.

Update: Added in Sunday’s updates.

Nintendo Badge Arcade has been receiving daily updates since heading to the 3DS eShop. Because it’s continually updated with content, we’re rounding up all of the additions and changes in a weekly post.

Here’s what’s on tap for the week of September 5:

September 5

– 19 Zelda: Wind Waker HD panels
– 4 Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D panels
– 3 Mega Man panels
– 1 The Cat Mario show panel (1 day left)
– 3 Zelda panels (1 with 2 days left)
– Zelda: A Link Between Worlds theme until 9/8
– 1 free play

A lengthy Twisted Fusion trailer is now online which is mainly about the game’s story. Of course, there are some gameplay bits as well. Watch the video below.

Hisashi Nogami, producer of Splatoon, was interviewed in last week’s Famitsu. There weren’t any major revelations, but Nogami did share some interesting tidbits. We now have some news about those who have been playing Splatoon online.

The ratio between Turf War and Ranked Battle players is roughly fifty-fifty. New players tend to concentrate on Turf War while those who have played for long time usually focus on Ranked Battle. The recent update increased point bonuses for Turf War, which perhaps made some people to go back to that mode. Of course, there are also people who have always enjoyed Turf War since launch.

The interview also says that there were many players during the end of 2015 and start of 2016, which may have been due to the holidays and start of the new year. The current numbers have dropped off in comparison, but there is still a stable number of players.

GameSpot caught up with Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice creative director Matt Kraemer to learn more about the game. Much of the discussion pertained to how this title improves upon the original and listening to fan feedback.

Per usual, we’ve rounded up the interesting responses below. For the full discussion, head on over to GameSpot.

GameStop has not one, but three pre-order bonuses for Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. In addition to the launch edition and GSEB Power Suit DLC costume, you’ll also receive a poster. Note that supplies will be “extremely limited”.

Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse isn’t too far off, as it comes out on September 20. All retailers will be giving out the launch edition (featuring a metal emblem set), and Amazon / Best Buy also have their own DLC costumes.

All My Nintendo points have an expiration date. With Platinum Points, they’re valid six months after you collect them. Gold Points stick around a little longer at 12 months.

Now that we’re nearly six months into My Nintendo, points you’ve accumulated may be on the way out. And thankfully, the service now shows when that’ll be happening. If you visit this page, you’ll be able to see how many Regular Platinum Points, Miitomo Platinum Points, and Gold Points are expiring over the next three months. Currently, that’s September, October, and November. My Nintendo should update at the end of the month to show things for December.

Thanks to Jake for the tip.

Since the passing of Satoru Iwata, we’ve heard some interesting stories about the late Nintendo president. For instance, he was said to have worked from his hospital bed on various projects and kept in touch with The Pokemon Company president Tsunekazu Ishihara on Pokemon GO.

The latest issue of Toyo Keizai has a Nintendo feature, and offers additional background information as to how Iwata approached his work while being ill. It seems that he wrote frequent messages aimed at all employees after leaving the hospital. Thinking about Nintendo’s future, it sounds like he wanted to leave the things he inherited from his predecessors to others.

Amazon has some decent deals on amiibo at the moment. Various figures are between the $4 and $7 range, including King Dedede, Inkling Girl (green), and Lucas. You can find the full lineup here.
