Paper Monsters Recut developer Mobot Studios has announced Demongeon, a challenging 2D platformer in development for Wii U.
Here’s an overview:
Demongeon is a punishing platformer that will push your skills to the max. You play as a demon that has been summoned and captured by an evil alchemist. To avoid being tortured and used, you must escape his trap filled dungeon. Demogeon uniquely combines the challenge of level-based platforming into one large adventure style level with just enough hints of metroidvania gameplay to keep you wanting more! For the hardcore gamer, there is unlcokable speedrun and survival modes. In survival mode you get one life to see how far you can make it!
Demongeon is due out sometime this summer. A trailer for the game is posted below.

There’s a lot involved with Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. On top of the base game, last years’ Kickstarter reached stretch goals for features like various modes, local co-op, and more.
How will Bloodstained go about bringing out all of its content? It sounds like the team will be adopting a staggered release, meaning we’ll see the base game first followed by additional content. That should help avoid a major wait, and the experience will be kept fresh over time with new features.
IGN has more footage available from the just-released Pocket Card Jockey. See some additional gameplay in the video below.
A pair of accolade trailers have landed on Nintendo UK’s YouTube channel. Videos for Star Fox Zero and Fire Emblem Fates can be found below.
Over on the official Star Fox Zero website, Nintendo posted a page which provides a behind the scenes look at the recent animation – Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins. It delves into the style used, and touches on how the video shows the everyday lives of Fox and his team as they relax on the Great Fox. There’s even some concept images, too.

Pocket Card Jockey is made by Game Freak, the developer of the Pokemon RPGs. So it makes sense that the game has references to the well-known series, right? In addition to that, there are nods to Game Freak’s other titles as well as Nintendo, pop culture, and gaming in general. GameXplain looks at it all in the following video:
