It’s time for the latest Famitsu’s most wanted games chart! Dragon Quest XI has returned to the top of the list.
Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between January 21 and January 27.
Over the past few days, fans on Smashboards have been compiling unofficial patch notes for the 1.1.4 Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS update. Since it’s been a work-in-progress, we’ve held off on posting them until now.
You can find a breakdown of the patch after the break. It’s mainly for those who are interested in seeing what sort of balances have been made to the roster.
Rocket Company has gone live with the first trailer for Medabots Girls Mission. View it below.
Along with today’s video, we have information about early-buy and first-print incentives. The early-buy incentive is a visual book which covers characters’ detailed settings and Medabots’ design pictures. Its cover is drawn by Izumi Sai, who is also the character designer. The first-print copy incentive is an original theme for 3DS which is based on the version consumers purchase.
System: Wii U (eShop)
Release date: February 4, 2016
Developer: Rainy Night Creations
Publisher Rainy Night Creations
The 3D platforming and collectathon style of game is one that hasn’t been very prevalent since the days of the Nintendo 64. However, fans of old-school 3D platformers have wanted to see a revival of these experiences and its seems as though their cries are now being heard by the many studios out there. One indie developer named Rainy Night Creations strove to create a game that followed in the footsteps of the giants that were Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie in an attempt to bring its new title, FreezeME, into the genre. However, unlike the platformer’s clear inspirations, FreezeME has some seriously glaring issues at its core.
January has come and gone. That means it’s time to announce the winner for our January 2016 Patreon giveaway. Congratulations to Jackson S on nabbing the Shovel Knight amiibo!
For February, we’re changing things up slightly. If the winner is from North America, they’ll be able to choose between Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright or Conquest. If the winner is from Europe, they’ll receive a copy of Bravely Second.
Those who are pledging $5 or more on our Patreon will be automatically eligible for the giveaway regardless of your region, and no further action is needed. We’ll likely be making the announcement of this month’s winner around March 5-6.
You can check out our Patreon page right here.
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash sold fairly well in Japan. Media Create has first week sales at 55,331 units while Dengeki’s figure is slightly higher at 58,000. In any case, that’s probably more than most people were anticipating.
According to Dengeki, Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash sold through about 80 percent of its initial shipment. The title sold favorably compared to the last console release in the series, New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis. That one sold 57,000 copies in its first week, and went on to move 247,000 units in total.
Ebten has posted the boxart for River City Ransom SP. We’ve attached the image above.
GameXplain just wrapped up another Fire Emblem Fates stream focusing on the Revelation story. For the full archive, check out the video below.
