Famitsu has a big update on Bravely Second this week. Among other things, the magazine provides first information about the Chariot job.

The Chariot job is described as a physical attacker who can use all types of weapons. Their abilities include “Fighting Race”, which raises the aptitude for equipped weapon for regular attacks. There’s also “Three-sword School”. This allows them to wield three weapons temporarily.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker has a couple of small Rosalina-related Easter eggs. You’ll be able to view them in the video above.

It’s been a long time coming, but Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures is finally making its way to the North American Wii U eShop next week. Nintendo’s website has the game listed for release on April 2.

Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures was confirmed for Nintendo platforms way back in April 2013. We know that a 3DS version was in the works at one point, but it’s unclear if the title is still slated for Nintendo’s handheld.

Namco Museum is coming to the North American Wii U Virtual Console tomorrow, Nintendo’s website confirms. Pricing is set at $6.99.

One of the most prominent difficulties faced by the Mario Party development team was gameplay balance. That’s according to director Shuichiro Nishiya from Nd Cube and Nintendo producer Jumpei Horita.

Speaking with Nintendo Life, the Nishiya said:

Ensuring the gameplay was balanced was indeed the toughest challenge during development. The game is based first of all on the outcome of rolling dice, so depending on your luck, the game could end very quickly, or Bowser might never be able to catch up. We encountered a number of possible issues we had to resolve in order to balance fairness with fun. Through our test plays, we came up with various ways to help those lagging behind. For example, players who are out of the game can provide items to their team mates, Bowser Jr. can offer dice to Bowser when he’s falling behind, and so forth. Thanks to these additions, the outcome of the game is up for grabs right until the very end. Of course, even with all our careful adjustments, if you end up rolling nothing but “1” you still won’t have a chance of winning.

Horita also chimed in. According to him, “the outcome of the roll is 100% pure luck”, even though some have believed that the game controls it by some means.

I just want to add an extra point here. I often hear or read doubts about the fairness of the dice roll, that it might be controlled somehow by the game. I assure you that the outcome of the roll is 100% pure luck. That said, even when you’re down on your luck, you can still take advantage of the minigames to survive Bowser’s onslaught and stay in the running. There are plenty of ways to turn the situation around so I encourage you not to give up until the very end!

Muteki and Choice Provisions recently announced that the two sides are teaming up for the distribution of the Dragon Fantasy games. Dragon Fantasy: The Volumes of Westeria and Dragon Fantasy: The Black Tome of Ice are still coming to 3DS as originally planned, but other platforms have been added, including Wii U.

So how’d all of this come about anyway? It’s all because creator Adam Rippon is involved at both Muteki and Choice Provisions. As for Wii U, Choice specifically requested that the console be thrown into the mix.

Muteki founder Bryan Sawler told Siliconera:

Adam works there? Seriously, though, they actually approached us about the idea. Adam had started working with the Choice Provisions guys on some games and they mentioned they’d love to help us get the games on Steam. At the point we were talking about a 3DS port already and they told us about this idea of Choice Publishing and we decided that our interests were aligned. Half-way through the deal they decided they were interested in adding Wii U to the mix and far be it from me to get in the way of more people playing this game!
