It’s certainly a big day for Woah Dave! In addition to sharing news about the game’s Deluxe update, Choice Provisions confirmed on Twitter today that the entire package will be released on Wii U.
The tweet is as follows:

We don’t have any additional information yet, but stay tuned!
You may remember that Choice Provisions teased Woah Dave! Deluxe earlier this month. It’s out now as a free update on Steam, and will be coming to 3DS at some point soon.
Here’s an overview as to what’s included in the Deluxe patch:
* Two new levels, each of which will challenge even the best Woah Dave! players to rethink their strategy
* New characters in the form of:
– Adoma (of Destructamundo fame)!
– Jr. Melchkin (of BIT.TRIP fame)!
– CommandgirlVideo (of BIT.TRIP fame)!
– Mr. Robotube (of Robotube Games fame)!
– BlokTom (of Bloktonik fame)!
– Plus a new, hidden character. Find them if you can!
* Boss battles!
* New enemy types!
* Rideable UFOs!
* A “Classic Mode” for all those Woah Dave! purists who would prefer their game remain unchanged!
* Maybe a few additional Easter eggs…!
You can find a trailer for Woah Dave! Deluxe below.
Playtonic’s new 3D platformer Project Ukulele will be shown at EGX Rezzed. On March 14, the indie developer will be on hand to host a session called “A rare reunion: Rebirth of the 3D platformer”.
Playtonic creative director Gavin Price said:
“It was the fans of our past work who inspired the creation of Playtonic, so we’re delighted to be able to showcase our vision to them in person at EGX Rezzed – as well as a few cheeky details of our game!”
For those who missed the news earlier this month, Project Ukulele was first revealed in the latest issue of EDGE. The game is intended to be a Banjo Kazooie spiritual successor, with lots of former Rare staffers working on the project.
Update: Walmart’s tweets have now been pulled. Make of that what you will!
A tweet from Walmart Canada officially confirms the existence of Nintendo’s gold Mario amiibo, though it was pretty much a sure thing at this point.
In one tweet, the retailer says that the figure will be sold in stores. A release date still hasn’t been determined.
@whosfourm Thanks for asking! We are getting the gold Mario amiibo in stores but we don't have a date yet.
— Walmart Canada (@WalmartCanada) February 25, 2015
A second tweet from Walmart Canada seems to confirm that there won’t be pre-orders for the gold Mario amiibo:
@AmiiboLover Hi there. We're not having a pre-sale for the gold Mario amiibos.
— Walmart Canada (@WalmartCanada) February 25, 2015
I imagine that things won’t be any different for Walmart stores in the United States. However, if we hear otherwise, we’ll be sure to let you know.
