Nintendo is working on a new Mario title of sorts. However, rather than the company providing content for players, users will instead be tasked with making their own creations. It’ll launch next year.

X has a final name and release window. It’s now known as “Xenoblade Chronicles X” and will launch next year – not this year. A new trailer is shown that we’ll post soon.

Nintendo revealed the latest entry in the Kirby franchise today called “Kirby and the Rainbow Curse”. We’ll put up the trailer soon.


Nintendo has confirmed a North American release date for Hyrule Warriors. It will be available on September 26.

Bayonetta 2 is coming to Wii U in October, Nintendo and Platinum announced today. The original Bayonetta will be included in the package. Additionally, the games feature Nintendo costumes such as Link and Samus.

Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are launching on November 21, Nintendo has confirmed. A new trailer was shown, which we’ll post here shortly.

Nintendo has finally lifted the curtain on its original Zelda game for Wii U. During its “Digital Event” held today, the company shared first details about the project. The title is due out next year.

Zelda’s new visual style is tough to describe – it’s not truly realistic like what we saw in the Zelda Wii U tech demo, though the game still looks fantastic. One could say that it evolves on the style we saw in Skyward Sword.

– Aonuma again states that they’re trying to break away from Zelda conventions
– New Zelda style revealed, art style somewhere between Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, appears to have an emphasis on large open worlds + exploration

Toad is getting a starring role in a brand new game for Wii U. The title, aptly named “Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker” expands on the concept we saw in Super Mario 3D World. The game launches this holiday.

We haven’t heard about Yarn Yoshi since the January 2013, but the game finally reappeared today during Nintendo’s Digital Event. The game is now known as “Yoshi’s Woolly World”.

Here’s what we know:

– Not just a direct sequel to Kirby’s Epic Yarn
– Now that they are working with depth / a 3rd dimension, they had to focus on that in development Yoshi games, unlike Mario games do not have a time limit so you are able to vastly explore the game world
– Turning out to be an action game with the ability to have fun in a wide variety of ways
– As they were thinking about how to build the game, it was built with exploration as the focus
– 2 player mode is in the game, 2 Yoshi’s appear and are able to help each other out


Nintendo has detailed “Amiibo”, its new NFC figurine line for Wii U and 3DS. As part of the initiate, Skylanders and Disney Infinity have special Wii U exclusive features.

When an Amiibo touches a GamePad, the data is downloaded into the game you’re playing. Additionally, information can be sent back to the figure

Super Smash Bros. will be the first Nintendo-published title to make use of Amiibo. There are plans for Mario Kart 8 to support the feature as well.
