Inti Creates has officially announced Mighty Gunvolt, the new crossover title between Azure Striker Gunvolt, Mighty No. 9, and Gal*Gun. First screenshots can be found above.
Mighty Gunvolt features a complete 8-bit style. Gunvolt, Eriko, and Beck are included as playable characters.
Mighty Gunvolt is out now in Japan. Those who purchase Azure Striker Gunvolt through November 19 can receive the new 3DS title at no extra cost.
Bear Box Media has announced an upcoming Wii U eShop title called “U Host”. The game could arrive as early as October, or sooner if creator Andy Ford “can push things forward”.
Here’s a summary of first details:
– Take on the role of a game show quiz host
– Can do “Pretty much anything you can think of involved with quizzes”
– Includes but not limited to having multiple question categories, bonus rounds, penalties, mini games, etc.
– Mini-games have already been designed
– Mini-games involve contestants vs. the host
– Host can set up the game before play begins or simultaneously play alongside the contestants trying to impede their progress
– Others will be all against all, even allowing Hosts to get their own scores
– Question categories cover history, technology, and more
– Users will be able to make their own questions as well
– Players can add their own rules and penalties
– Custom questions support up to 4 different answers (only 1 is correct)
– Hold quizzes and game shows that can be up to 5 rounds of which the host will also be able to name
– Recreate games similar to wheel of fortune, who wants to be a millionaire, and board game style quizzes
– “all of the questions have been (painstakingly) written out, and the menus are almost completed”
– Price and launch windows for other regions are TBA
– The host can set up a quiz prior and save it to the console
– The host can read questions off the GamePad, or display them on the TV
– Players can alert the host that they have an answer by buzzing in with a Wiimote, Pro Controller, or even their own voice
– Can be played entirely on the GamePad
– Free app will let players to use their mobile devices as U Host buzzers
– Will include a single-player mode
