When you first pick up Year Walk, “peaceful” and “serene” are two words that may pop into your head. You find yourself in a quaint, Swedish forest in the winter, with snowflakes falling, the wind gently whispering, and ‘barely there’ atmospheric tones.

The odd sense of warm security you feel in a chilly setting is misplaced, however. Despite the calming, ambiguous way Year Walk opens, your character’s goal to eventually see into the future by partaking in a ‘vision quest’ takes a few disconcerting turns.

What I’m trying to say is that this game is going to rustle your jimmies.

Nintendo’s North American YouTube page now has a video interview with Shin’en, which was conducted during PAX Prime 2015 a few weeks ago. Naturally, the discussion focused on FAST Racing Neo. Check out the full video below.

Retailer listings are indicating that the physical version of Shovel Knight has been delayed. Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop are now listing the game for November 3 in North America. An October 13 release date had been previously announced.

Of course, we don’t have an official confirmation that Shovel Knight’s physical version has been delayed. If we hear anything from Yacht Club Games, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Thanks to Jared for the tip.

Cryamore is an action RPG by developer NostalgiCO that was funded via Kickstarter more than two years ago. Today, NostalgiCO announced that, in order to ensure that the game will be released on time and that it will be up to their quality standards, they’ve teamed up with Atlus, who will be publishing the game. Cube Roots’ indie puzzle game Dungeon Hearts originally came out a couple of years ago. It’s now in the works for Wii U with a few new elements.

First, here’s a brief overview of the actual game:

“Dungeon Hearts fuses the strategy and pattern matching of puzzle games with the kinetic pace of action games. Align magical runes as they flow along the Fatestream to attack, defend, and conjure magic in frenetic battles against a bestiary of fantastic creatures out to use those same runes against you. Chain together multiple attacks and unleash powerful combos or call upon each hero’s special attacks to devastate your enemies to survive the twists and turns of Dungeon Heart’s evolving gameplay. Strike down all that stand in your way and level up your brave warriors as each foe grows more powerful than the last, culminating in the final battle with The Dark One himself!”

On Wii U, the title will be known as “Dungeon Hearts DX”. The team will be including new art, characters, and music, all of which are exclusive to this new release. Fans can also expect interface changes, balance to the combat, and a hub area to listen to music and manage your party. Feedback and criticism from the original Dungeon Hearts is also being considered.

Check out one of the earlier trailers for Dungeon Hearts below. The new “DX” version hits the eShop this winter.

Human Resource Machine, the newest game from Little Inferno developer Tomorrow Corporation, is launching on the Wii U eShop next month. The studio announced in a website post that it’s slated for October 15.

Human Resource Machine was originally revealed in June, though Wii U was not a confirmed platform at the time. An official description of the title reads:

Human Resource Machine is a puzzle game. In each level, your boss gives you a job. Automate it by programming your little office worker! If you succeed, you’ll be promoted up to the next level for another year of work in the vast office building. Congratulations!

Don’t worry if you’ve never programmed before – programming is just puzzle solving. If you strip away all the 1’s and 0’s and scary squiggly brackets, programming is actually simple, logical, beautiful, and something that anyone can understand and have fun with!

You can find Human Resource Machine’s original trailer below.
