– You can use something that’s like a “scent” of a person from things like a hair, their documents etc.
– That aids your “kagemi”
– Then you use your clues to search for them
– If you chase the memories of them you’ll find them, so you have to follow their past footsteps
– When you find them and “bring them back” from their spiriting away, it’s mission complete, but you’ll have to watch out for the ghosts lurking
– You can also use your “ghost sight” to find hints from ghosts
– Looks kind of like hidden ghosts in other games
– Gameplay on the TV
– Map on the GamePad
– The touch system for picking up items is back
– Ghost hands are also back

Capcom is suing Koei Tecmo over a patent infringement, and Sankei has some of the details.

Here’s what we know:

– Capcom is suing due to the patent infringement in games such as Samurai Warriors: Xtreme Legends
– A total of 49 other titles are involved
– Suit is for 980 million yen (about $9.43 million)
– Lawsuit says Capcom filed a patent back in 2002 that involves a function that lets you acquire new content by combining an existing game with another piece of software
– It appears that Capcom is effectively referring to the idea of expansion packs, and the concept of importing content into the new version of a game
– Likely covers expansion discs as well since the patent was filed in 2002
– Another patent mentioned in the report is a controller-vibrating notification feature when enemy characters are nearby
– Capcom claims that the patent infringement “has greatly contributed to the sales” of Koei Tecmo’s titles
– Koei Tecmo has seen a profit of about 9.73 billion yen in total sales
– Capcom wants to acquire around 5 – 10% in license fees
– They’re also demanding the suspension of sales on several Tecmo Koei titles

Hyrule Warriors has almost arrived overseas (well, close enough)! To prepare yourself for launch, check out this video covering the title’s origins, gameplay, pre-order bonuses, several other tidbits, and more.

Three different companies contributed to Hyrule Warriors to make the game possible. Omega Force and Team Ninja, two subsidiaries under Koei Tecmo, created the project directly. Nintendo also helped out in some capacity.

But what exactly was each company’s function? We now know courtesy of producer Yosuke Hayashia, who divulged to ONM this month:

Omega Force were kind enough to create the “basic Dynasty Warriors style gameplay”, Team Ninja made the “one-on one” and “boss battles” sections for us, and Nintendo gave us the “understanding required for the Zelda series”. As we were using the Zelda IP, Nintendo did detailed checks at the beginning of development, but what really stood out from a developmental perspective was Nintendo’s constant encouragement to “take a freer approach in the creation process”.

Hyrule Warriors sold through only 57.33 percent of its initial shipment in Japan, according to a report from sales tracker Media Create. It was revealed earlier this week that the game’s debut sales came in at 69,090 copies.

Hyrule Warriors sold quite a bit less than other collaborative Warriors titles like One Piece: Pirate Warriors (655,774 units), First of the North Star: Ken’s Rage (385,295 units), and Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn (126,019 units). Still, as Siliconera mentions, it’s silly to draw any sort of comparisons. There are many factors here, such as how the Zelda values gameplay over its story and characters unlike Gundam and One Piece. And we also have to remember that the Wii U’s userbase in Japan is under two million.
