Nintendo Switch Online

Three new SNES games are joining the Nintendo Switch Online library next week, Nintendo has announced. Claymates, Jelly Boy, and Bombuzal are all appearing on the service.

Typically we see at least one new NES addition. However, that won’t be happening this time around.

Here’s an overview of the latest SNES games plus a trailer:

Nintendo Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online has been going for three years strong. We’ve seen the introduction of classic games on the console, new titles like Tetris 99, and opportunities to try out certain titles through Game Trials.

The SNES library started up on Switch Online in 2019. Since then though, the lineup of classics has been a bit static. Some have hoped that Nintendo could expand the offerings with N64 or Game Boy games.

Over in Japan, Valkyria Chronicles has been announced as the next Game Trial for Nintendo Switch Online. It can be played for free with a subscription between July 5 and July 11. Per usual, all progress transfers to the full version.

Valkyria Chronicles will also have a discount on the Japanese Switch eShop. That game, along with Valkyria Chronicles 4, will be available for 33 percent off between July 5 and July 18.
