Posted on 4 years ago by Oni Dino(@Oni_Dino) in Podcast | 0 comments
This week on Nintendo Everything Podcast, special guest Barry (Goodman?) is back to chat with Oni Dino and Galen in this extra-long, bonus episode! Nintendo Switch is at 62 million units sold, but will they keep the momentum with the PS5 and Xbox Series X coming soon? What will happen to third-party support moving forward and how should Nintendo prepare for it? In the Adventure Log, Barry elaborates on the appeal of the Legend of Heroes series and the Trails of Cold Steel sub-series and why the third entry is a good jumping-in point, and Galen tries out shell-swapping his Switch Pro Controller. In the news, Pikmin 3 Deluxe was announced, bringing up the topic of full-priced Wii U ports; Blizzard employees rally for fair pay and better working conditions; and Aeon Must Die has serious allegations against it from the original devs.
It’s a big episode—check out links and timestamps below and come hang out.

At the start of 2019, Travis Touchdown will finally be making a return with Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. But fans have also shown quite a bit of interest in having past entries in the series appear on Switch as well.
While director Suda51 has acknowledged interest in doing this previously, it appears he’s actually now taking a proactive approach. Speaking with Nintendeal at PAX West 2018, he mentioned that he’s in talks with Marvelous in hopes of bringing No More Heroes 1 and 2 to Switch.
Suda51 on No More Heroes being accepted more in the west vs. Japan, news on Sylvia coming for Travis Strikes Again

GamesRadar recently caught up for an interview with Suda51 for all things Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes. Although there was talk about the upcoming Switch game, Suda51 took some time to reflect on the series as a whole.
One noteworthy part of the discussion came about while Suda51 commented on No More Heroes being accepted in the west compared to Japan. He said that there has “definitely” been a “much more positive reaction” in North America and Europe. Although the reaction in Japan hasn’t been particularly bad, it perhaps hasn’t been as warmly received due to its violent nature and blood.

If you watched the Nintendo Switch event live, you likely had trouble understanding what Grasshopper Manufacture CEO Goichi Suda, or more commonly known as Suda51, was talking about despite the best efforts of the translator. While what Suda51 said was likely very difficult to translate live, YouTuber iYakku has gone to the trouble of translating what Suda51 had to say about his Switch project and Travis Touchdown.

Suda51 revealed at the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017 that a new No More Heroes game is on the way to Switch. Following the announcement, 4Gamer and Famitsu both spoke with him about what’s planned for the project.
First, on 4Gamer, Suda51 said the title is a secret. He was asked if it will be No More Heroes 3, but said he can’t answer that yet. The scenario is being written by Suda51 himself, and he’ll also be directing the game (first time in ten years that’s happening).

Suda51 also wants to remaster No More Heroes

Suda51 recently expressed interest in seeing Killer7 return in the form of a remaster / remake. That’s not the only franchise he’d like to bring back, however. Destructoid has heard from James Mountain – who is working with Suda51 on The Silver Case – that Suda5 would like to remaster No More Heroes. If this is something that he’d pursue, it’d be for the Wii title – not the PlayStation 4/Xbox 360 versions.
