Update: Final two – Nintendo showcases Splatoon’s new Soda Slosher and Bamboozler 14 Mk III weapons
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
Update: Bumped to the top. Final two weapons are below.
Refurbished Mini Splatling
No prawn shop jokes please! The Refurbished Mini Splatling is made from the remains of a tragically destroyed Mini Splatling…It features Burst Bombs as the sub weapon and packs a Bomb Rush as its special. That’s a lot of inkage happening in a hurry! Sheldon recommends this one for splatters who wanna leave everyone and everything in sight dripping with ink!
Tempered Dynamo Roller
Meet the Tempered Dynamo Roller. This heavy-weight roller gained mobility to quickly run up to the front lines by adding the Seeker as a sub weapon. The quiet but tasteful color tone might lull your opponents into a sense of security before BAM! Killer Wail! Pile on the pressure!
Nintendo has highlighted two more upcoming Splatoon inclusions from Sheldon’s Picks Vol. 1, a set of eight weapons being added to the game tomorrow evening.
Here’s the rundown on the Soda Slosher and Bamboozler 14 Mk III:
Soda Slosher
The Soda Slosher is based on a regular ol’ Slosher, but with some adjustments to the setup. Splat Bombs support the basic strategy, and the addition of the Inkzooka provides ranged power lacking in other models. And the bucket colors are pretty sweet too. Just sayin’.
Bamboozler 14 Mk III
According to Sheldon, this set REDEFINES what it means to be a Bamboozler! Do you think you’re ready? The Bamboozler 14 Mk III takes the Mk I and swaps out the barrel for a different bamboo pipe. This set’s selling point is how the main weapon and the Burst Bombs can really hammer your opponent! That’s not to mention the Inkstrike, which can make life difficult for even far-off enemies.
Screenshots of the Soda Slosher and Bamboozler 14 Mk III are posted below. Details and screenshots for four other weapons are located here, along with the Splatoon version 2.7.0 patch notes.

Star Fox Zero credits pay tribute to Satoru Iwata
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 19 Comments
It’s not often that we post credits from games. However, there’s a particularly touching inclusion within Star Fox Zero’s staff roll, which we felt was worth sharing.
About halfway through the credits, the following line pops up: “This game is dedicated to our wingman who fell in battle.” It’s a clear nod to late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata, who passed away last year.
Head past the break for the video with the full credits if you’re interested in doing so ahead of launch! It naturally contains a few final scenes from the game.

Nintendo Everything comic #4: Readers, we choose you
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Comics | 60 Comments
We’re back with another weekend comic! It’s Pokemon-themed again, but this one is a bit special. We’re seeking input from all of you to help continue this “mini-series”.
Here’s today’s comic (click for full size):

As you can see in the last panel of the comic, the Pokemon inside Teddy’s Pokeball is currently a mystery. We’re leaving up to one of you to decide where we take things next. Should it be an existing Pokemon? Or maybe a new kind of creature? Heck, maybe something crazy like a Goomba or even Reggie?!
You can tell us what you want to see in the comments below. Even a drawing or any other way of sharing input works! We’ll end up picking a winner, which will be featured in the next part of this comic. We’re looking forward to seeing what ideas everyone has in mind!
