A new update for Death Squared has started distribution. Version 1.1.0 is out now for all players.

We had heard that there was an issue with Death Squared when playing level 65 while the system was docked. Today’s update should take care of that problem.

The Metroid: Samus Returns amiibo can be pre-ordered on Best Buy once again. It’s up for grabs on the retailer’s website right here. The 2-pack will be available on September 15.

A Switch version of Night Trap hasn’t come to fruition thus far. Nintendo was apparently open to the idea, but quickly shut the door soon after the go-ahead was given.

Enter Nicalis, one of the premiere third-party publishers on Switch out of the gate. Company boss Tyrone Rodriguez has expressed interest in working with Screaming Villains to bring Night Trap to Switch. It’ll probably take some time for the project to come to fruition – if it even happens at all – but this is a hopeful first step.

Earlier today, Nicalis tweeted out a brief GIF showing Quote of Cave Story fame in a new 3D model. The idea here is that the model is being used for something, though we’re not quite sure what it is yet.


We all know about Cave Story’s ties to Nintendo platforms. This may not be for a new game, but it could still be game-related. Some folks are speculating that the model will be used for Brawlout, which has indie characters and was announced for Switch last week. We’ll just have to wait and see…

Switch restocks are starting to become a slightly more regular occurrence. At GameStop, you’ll have another chance to pick up a system starting tomorrow. This will be the first time that all of the retailer’s stores will have units on hand since the March 3 launch.

Thankfully, you can walk right in to GameStop and purchase a Switch without any extra games or add-ons – it will be the standard system for $300. However, bundles will also be offered online.

Pan-Pan is making its way to Switch, a listing on the eShop reveals.

Spelkraft originally developed Pan-Pan, which debuted on Steam last year. It’s an adventure-exploration game with puzzles and more.

Update (8/14): The Rayman Legends Definitive Edition demo is now live in North America.


Original (8/13): A demo for Rayman Legends Definitive Edition popped up on the European Switch eShop last month. However, it went live a bit early. Ubisoft intended to officially launch the download on August 14.

In Europe, the demo has now returned. You can find it by accessing the Rayman Legends Definitive Edition page in the “Coming Soon” section of the eShop.

The same demo will be available on Monday in North America as well. We’ll keep you updated when it’s live.
