Activision Blizzard’s popular Toys-to-Life game has reached millions of people across the globe and sold even more figures at that across multiple platforms, and now Skylanders is expanding even further with its own animated series which is currently in development. The name of the Skylanders TV show is Skylanders Academy, starring some big names such as Justin Long, Jonathan Banks, Norm Macdonald, and Ashley Tisdale.

Activision Blizzard announced today that through their new TV and film studios, aptly named Activision Blizzard Studios, they’ll be producing the series for Skylanders Academy as well as other TV shows and films based off of their IP, such as Call of Duty.

CEO of Activision Blizzard, Bobby Kotick, had this to say about the new studio and future development:

“Activision Blizzard is home to some of the most successful entertainment franchises in history, across any medium. With the launch of Activision Blizzard Studios, our engaged fans can now watch the games they love come to life across film and television”

“Activision Blizzard Studios is yet another way we’re celebrating our players and fans, and we expect that our film and television productions will entertain and delight whole new audiences, as well.”

It looks like Activision Blizzard Studios is planning to take on TV and film in a big way. Are you looking forward to the upcoming Skylanders TV show? Let us know your thoughts below!

Since Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate’s release back in February earlier this year, Capcom has graciously gifted fans of the series free DLC, and now the final pack of free DLC for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is here. The November pack offers a bunch of new quests for arenas and Deviljho, as well as new GX armor. You can check out everything Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate’s final batch of free DLC has to offer in the video below, and don’t forget you can still get all the previous DLC from prior months if you missed out on any.

Tomonobu Itagaki’s new title Devil’s Third, which is slated to come out in North America on December 11th on Wii U, is officially getting a multiplayer-only version for PC titled Devil’s Third Online. Though the game was mentioned through various rumors that it would be doing so a few months back, it’s now been made official via Nexon and Valhalla Game Studios.

The game, which is being tweaked and tailored to be most optimal for PC, is planned to be a free-to-start title. More information on Devil’s Third Online as well as further news from Nexon and Valhalla will be presented on November 12th through a NicoNico livestream.

Are you willing to try out Devil’s Third Online when it makes its way to PC? For those that are skeptical from the immense criticism Devil’s Third has received, maybe this will be a good way for people to try it out for themselves and potentially look into the Wii U version. The campaign seems to be what’s most lambasted, but the frenetic and arcade-like nature of the multiplayer seems to be where Devil’s Third shines most, even if that shine is only a glimmer to some.

Few games in the last few years have excelled at making me feel truly lost in their world. When these types of experiences come about, they can make you forget who you are, your age, status, and more due to the fact that you’re so invested in them your mind completely clears. Yo-kai Watch manages to accomplish this and delivers an unbelievable experience that excels in everything it has to offer, from its graphics, gameplay, story, mechanics, as well as an art form a lot of games don’t bother utilizing anymore: humor.

Yet another character trailer has been released revealing a new character in the upcoming Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem crossover. In the trailer below, you’ll get a look at Toma Akagi. Check it out!

Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water sees the return of a series that has been dormant since Mask of the Lunar Eclipse’s release in 2008 for Wii. Sure, there have been a few spinoffs since then – most notably Spirit Camera on 3DS back in 2012 – but it’s been a while since we’ve seen any mainline entries, especially considering Maiden of Black Water would be the first Fatal Frame released outside of Japan since Fatal Frame III: The Tormented in 2005. Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water takes a different approach mechanically and gameplay-wise than any of the other releases in the franchise, yet it still very much stays true to form delivering a great horror experience that we seldom see on Nintendo consoles.

Earlier this year the Squids from Splatoon had some incredbile and gigantic plushies made of them, and now it looks like we’ll be getting some more Splatoon plushies in Japan this December! Callie, Marie, Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl are all getting cute little plushies released later this year.

Each one will cost 2,500¥
