Metroid Dread Chozo

Nintendo has returned with a new report for Metroid Dread, and this time we get to hear all about the Chozo. It covers a mysterious foe players will face, the Chozo Soldiers, and more.

Bayonetta 3 cancelled

Despite a lack of news surrounding Bayonetta 3, the game has most definitely not been cancelled, and PlatinumGames is again looking to assure fans that things are going well.

You may recall that the studio’s Hideki Kamiya indicated that we could see the game this year. VGC asked him about that in a recent interview, in which he stated:

Nintendo is back with another lengthy trailer for Metroid Dread. In the five-minute video, various aspects of the game are shown off, including Samus’ abilities, the E.M.M.I., and more.

FuRyu and Lancarse uploaded a new trailer for Monark, their upcoming game for Switch.

Monark, an RPG, is being made by several developers that previously worked on the Shin Megami Tensei series at Atlus. Learn more about the project below. 

Melty Blood Type Lumina Michael Roa Valdamjong

Michael Roa Valdamjong will be playable in Melty Blood: Type Lumina, publisher Project Lumina and developer French-Bread just announced. The character originates from the visual novel Tsukihime.

Michael Roa Valdamjong is a vampire who also goes by “Serpent of Akasha” or “Infinite Reincarnator”. He’s the former priest of the Holy Church, and can manipulate information and electricity at will. It’s said that “the story of Roa appearing in Souya that came to him predicts the possibilities he might have had following a chance encounter with Arcueid and Shiki.”

Razion EX Switch

Back in May, NGDEV confirmed that it was working on a new Switch version of its shoot ’em up game known as Razion EX. Today, the developer shared a final release date.

Razion’s first appearance was actually on the Neo Geo in 2014. Now for the “EX” edition on Switch, the game features a ton of changes. NGDEV modified the gameplay, rebalanced and pulled back on the difficulty, added bullet cancelling for some enemies, adjusted the controls and ship movements, upgraded the graphics and added 32 bit effects, changed the presentation to widescreen, added a scanline filter, reworked the levels and scoring mechanics a bit, included unlockable continues, made a new training mode for unlocked levels and bosses, created a small ending, and ensured that the music is CD-quality. It’s definitely a lot to take in.

LoveChoice

In collaboration with original developer Akaba Studio, Ratalaika Games has announced that it will publish the interactive visual novel LoveChoice on Switch tomorrow, September 10. The game will be sold digitally on the platform.

LoveChoice first appeared in 2018, and has been quite well received by players since then. This is the first time we’ll be seeing it on consoles.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy story

A new trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has just come in that offers up a closer look at what the game has to offer from a story perspective.

In the video, we see that Grand Unifier Raker has brought Star-Lord, Drax, Gamora, Rocket, and Groot to the Universal Church of Truth as the team sees a cult-like ritual before the mysterious Matriarch. Grand Unifier Raker says that the Matriarch is interesting in sharing a truth with them, wihch can supposedly end all grief and suffering. It doesn’t take long for the situation to implode and the Guardians need to get half the galaxy on their back.
