Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective

Pixmain and Darjeeling have nailed down a release date for Labyrinth City: Pierre the Maze Detective, a puzzle game that was previously featured in an Indie World Showcase. The two sides have confirmed that Switch owners can get their hands on the title starting on July 15.

Alongside the release of Worms Rumble on Switch, the game is receiving a new arena on all platforms today. Spaceport Showdown is out today – including on Nintendo’s console.

Within the Blade

Today, Ratalakia Games and Ametist Studio announced that they’re putting Within the Blade on Switch. The stealth platformer is slated for July 16 on the console.

Cozy Grove - "Summer Update"

A major update has gone live for the life sim game Cozy Grove. Switch players can now access version 2.0.0.

Today’s update includes quality of life enhancements, balance changes, and bug fixes. Going into some of the specifics, changes include increasing the stack size limits of various items, increasing the amount of storage available to players early in the game, reducing the difficulty of several quests, and a whole bunch of UI improvements. There are also new features and content.

Guild of Darksteel

Digerati and Igor Sandman have dated Guild of Darksteel, an upcoming cinematic side-scrolling adventure game. It’s planned for release on July 15.

Hamster is bringing Takeda Shingen (Samurai-Fighter Shingen) to Switch this week as the system’s latest Arcade Archives game, the company has confirmed. A worldwide release is planned for June 24.

Takeda Shingen originally released in 1988. It’s a side-scrolling brawler originally made by Jaleco.

Arcade Archives Takeda Shingen will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.

Sonic Prime

Thanks to a new partnership with SEGA, Netflix is working on a brand new animated series for Sonic the Hedgehog. We know a few details about the project, which is titled Sonic Prime. It will be comprised of 24 episodes, will be animated by WildBrain’s Vancouver studio, and Man of Action Entertainment is involved. The announcement also mentioned that the show will feature “a high-octane adventure” in which it’ll be up to Sonic to save the fate of “a strange new multiverse”.

Netflix hasn’t shared any images of Sonic Prime, but concept art has now emerged. TailsChannel spotted various images on the profile of an ArtStation user.

Melty Blood: Type Lumina

Project Lumina and French-Bread shared new information on the 2D fighter Melty Blood: Type Lumina today.

First up, two more characters are confirmed. Hisui and Kohaku have both been revealed – come see their character art below.

Knights in the Nightmare Remaster

Back in 2008, Sting made Knights in the Nightmare for DS. The strategy-shooter RPG would be published in the west a year later thanks to Atlus.

Sting has now announced that the game is returning on some of the latest platforms, including Switch. Knights in the Nightmare Remaster has been confirmed for a 2021 launch in Japan, though we’re waiting to hear about a potential overseas launch.
