Chiki-Chiki Boxy Racers originally came to the Japanese Switch eShop at the start of the year. Today, Unties announced plans to bring the game west next week.

Velocity 2X dev says sequel will only happen with strong Switch sales

FuturLab wants to release a sequel to Velocity 2X. The only problem? Publishers aren’t yet convinced that it would be a commercial success. That’s why the studio sent out word today that the sequel will only happen if Velocity 2X does well when it arrives soon on Switch.
FuturLab has actually been working on the new project “for years”. It would be a “bells and whistles sequel” under the name Velocity Supernova.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night now planned for release in 2019

While it may not come as much of a surprise, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will not be launching this year. A new Kickstarter update reveals a new scheduled release window of 2019.
Regarding the delay, the Kickstarter post states that the extra time will be used to “raise the quality level, especially after all the very valuable feedback from the Beta Backer Demo.”

At Pokemon GO Fest in Chicago, The Guardian was able to speak with Niantic CEO John Hanke. Hanke discussed the current status of the game, among other topics.
Reflecting on how far Pokemon GO has come since its launch two years ago, Hanke said that the mobile title has a “thriving, strong user base of people that are not here for the fad, but because they love the core values of the game.” He said:

11 bit Studios had This War of Mine, Moonlighter, and Children of Morta featured in today’s Indie Highlights presentation. But the company actually has a fourth title lined up for Switch: Beat Cop.
Beat Cop, a retro, pixel art style adventure set in New York City and inspired by 80’s cop shows, has players taking on the role of Jack Kelly. After being framed for murder, you’ll need to find out who set you up.
