Rime update out on February 19 (version 1.0.2) – improved visuals, resolution, frame rate, more

Update (2/19): Rime version 1.0.2 is out now.
Original (2/16): Rime’s big Switch update has been approved, and it’s arriving in just a few days. Grey Box announced today that the patch will land on February 19.
While “volume streaming hiccups” couldn’t be addressed, significant improvements have been made across the board with the game’s visuals and performance, “especially in handheld mode.” Rime on Switch will feature an enhanced resolution, more stable frame rate, and much more.

Japanese outlet Entertainment Station published two new interviews with Yusuke Soejima and Park Masashi who lead the way on Nintendo’s indie efforts in Japan. When asked about the difference between indie games and conventional titles and how they’re recognized, Masashi stated that they’re viewed equally.

Capcom has revealed the boxart for Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 on Switch. Take a look at it above.
To reiterate what was mentioned in our previous post, only Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 will be offered as a cartridge. The second collection is a digital download.
Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 will cost $39.99 at retail and comes with an exclusive Mega Man 30th Anniversary cleaning cloth. Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 and 2 will cost $14.99 and $19.99 on the eShop respectively.

According to a listing on Keymailer, Spiral Splatter is due out soon on Switch. The website lists it for a March 13 release.
Described as “a brain-bending arcade puzzle game that will push your hand-eye coordination to the limit with nonstop, mind-boggling puzzles”, Spiral Splatter features over 100 levels, 11 unique stages with a new challenge in each one, and more. We have some additional details and a trailer below.

Varion slated for Switch this spring

Rundisc has confirmed that Varian, a new futuristic brawler, is in the works for Switch. We’ll be seeing it on the eShop this summer.
Varion involves bouncing shots to destroy opponents. If you hit an opponent directly, they’ll only be stunned. Ammo is limited, and if you want to reload, you’ll need to move around the field.
