As we’ve seen over the past few years, game developers have gotten into the April Fools’ Day spirit with fake announcements. Some companies have already started sharing their news ahead of April 1 – which is tomorrow of course.

We don’t have any plans for any April Fools’ Day jokes, though we will once again be rounding up all of the Nintendo-related “announcements”. We’ll keep this post updated over the next day or so.

Thus far, four Nintendo games have been released on the Chinese NVIDIA Shield. Owners can purchase New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Zelda: Twilight Princess, Punch-Out!!, and Super Mario Galaxy.

Nintendo tends to be quiet regarding its E3 plans until the show is rather close, but this year, the company shared some news pretty early. Last week, it was announced that Super Smash Bros. Switch and Splatoon 2 will both be seeing their own tournaments.

Polygon spoke with Nintendo’s Bill Trinen about the Super Smash Bros. Invitational 2018 and Splatoon 2 World Championship. Trinen noted the following:

Pokemon has been an incredibly successful franchise since the beginning. Even after 20 years, the franchise is still going strong.

During a recent media event, Valve boss Gabe Newell actually spoke about Pokemon while discussing the company’s future plans. Here’s what Newell said about the IP’s longstanding success:

Dragon Quest Illustrations 30th Anniversary Edition previously released in Japan. At Anime Boston today, VIZ Media announced that the book is seeing localization. It’s due out in the west in December.

Dragon Quest Illustrations 30th Anniversary Edition is an archive of Akira Toriyama’s iconic illustrations and designs. Over 30 years of Dragon Quest titles, released from 1986 through 2016, are covered inside.
