The iOS title Oceanhorn is almost set for release. However, quite a bit of the gameplay seems reminiscent of Zelda. The game comes with dungeons, “skulltula”-style collectibles, chests with items, grass to cut, pots to throw, and more.

Despite the similarities between the two, perhaps Oceanhorn won’t turn out so bad. At the very least, it has some top-notch talent on board in the music department – Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu and Mana/Saga composer Kenji Ito.

Eiji Aonuma has a special relationship with Shigeru Miyamoto. After all, the two have been working together for a couple of decades.

Aonuma shared some of his thoughts concerning Miyamoto in GamesTM’s previous issue. Surprisingly, Aonuma revealed, “The time I have spent working with him is even longer than my relationship with my father”. Aonuma also mentioned that he feels he’s “far away from reaching Mr. Miyamoto’s level of perspective” and hopes Miyamoto will “forever” continue providing opinions on Nintendo’s titles.

Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida had a few words to share about the Wii U and Nintendo and general while speaking with IGN during a recent interview.

Regarding Wii U, Yoshida admitted that he has two consoles and actively plays the system with his daughters. He also said Nintendo’s messaging was initially “a bit confusing”, though they now seem to be heading back on track.

Yoshida later went on to discuss the importance of Nintendo doing well in the industry. He believes the Big N and Sony fall under the same group, and with tablet/mobile games on the rise, Yoshida wants “Nintendo to be very successful to help induct as many consumers who like to play games with controllers”.
