Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps part 2 now available

SEGA has just gone live with the second part of the Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps two-episode cartoon. The web series was made to tie in with the upcoming launch of Sonic Colors: Ultimate. Fans are also introduced to the new Jade Wisp, and it welcomes the return of Sonic, Tails and the notorious Dr. Eggman from the Sonic Colors universe.

Fitness Boxing anime announced

In a rather unexpected move, Imagineer announced today that Fitness Boxing will have its own anime. It will begin airing on October 1 through Tokyo MX.
It goes without saying, but the show is based on the previously-released Switch titles. Fitness Boxing came to Switch in January 2019. Its sequel, Fitness Boxing 2: Rhythm & Exercise, launched in December 2020.
Gamescom: Opening Night Live 2021 live stream

The all-digital Gamescom 2021 is kicking off with Opening Night Live. Like the past couple of years, the show will be held to highlight a few unannounced games and previously-known titles. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania have already been confirmed for the show.
You can watch Gamescom: Opening Night Live 2021 as it happens below, with the action set to begin at 11 AM PT / 2 PM ET / 7 PM in the UK / 8 PM in Europe. Note that a pre-show will kick off 30 minutes beforehand. We’ll also be sure to share any Switch news as it’s revealed.

Atelier Ryza Reisalin Stout figma out in July 2022, new photos, pre-orders open

As previously announced, a new figma is on the way for Reisalin Stout as she appeared in Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. Some news about the figure was shared today.
Max Factory shared a final release date, and fans can pick up the Reisalin Stout figma in July 2022. We have the official product listing with more information below.
Super Mario movie from Illumination seemingly directed by Teen Titans Go! producers

Teen Titans Go! producers Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic will be directing the Super Mario movie from Illumination, according to an animator working on the film. The staffer has that information listed on his LinkedIn profile. However, there’s been no official announcement just yet.
Both have worked on a number of different animated television shows. Jelenic’s credits include Jackie Chan Adventures, The Batman, and Batman: The Brave and the Bold. Horvath previously contributed to Yin Yang Yo!, El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera, and Mad.

My Nintendo adds LEGO Super Mario keychain in North America

My Nintendo has added in a brand new keychain as a way of promoting the LEGO Super Mario product line. If interested, you can claim it here. It’ll set you back 400 Platinum Points.
It turns out that this is actually just half of the equation. In the same style as LEGO Mario, there’s a similar keychain available for LEGO Luigi, but not on My Nintendo. The LEGO VIP rewards site is offering Luigi here for 500 VIP Points. If you sign up, you can also claim 200 Platinum Points on My Nintendo for free.
LEGO Super Mario sets were first unveiled back in March 2020. It’s been a long road since then, with several additional products added to the line. Most recently, LEGO Luigi joined in on the fun, though that only just happened this month.

More scrapped plans for the Tokyo Olympics unearthed featuring Nintendo

There’s been a lot of talk about plans to feature Nintendo at the Tokyo Olympics that ultimately fell through. Earlier this year, we heard about a segment with Mario that never came to be. More recently, Nintendo music was close to being a part of the opening ceremony, and Lady Gaga was even going to appear dressed with Mario’s hat.
Bunshun has now come forward with another major leak that details various changes for the Olympics. In a proposed video, Mario would be going back to Tokyo through a pipe. He would then be throwing a ball that is passed among various popular characters before finally returning to Mario’s hand. Mario from there dives into two screens and that’s the start of the actual opening ceremony.

Bandai Namco’s Katsuhiro Harada recently caught up with Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai for an interview in which the two developers discussed a bunch of different topics. The first part of the discussion was published last week, and the second portion just went up today.
