In addition to Europe and Japan, Nintendo intends to stream The Wonderful 101 Direct in North America tomorrow. Fans in the US will be able to watch the presentation right here at 10 AM ET / 7 AM PT.

Toki Tori 2+ is now in Nintendo’s hands. Two Tribes confirmed on Twitter earlier today that the significant update has been submitted to Nintendo:

Once Nintendo approves Toki Tori 2+, it should be available to players soon after.
SEGA talks Sonic deal with Nintendo, hopes Sonic can help Wii U, improving franchise’s quality

SEGA has partnered with Nintendo to put out three exclusive games on Nintendo platforms. Two have been revealed thus far: Sonic Lost World and Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. There’s also one final mystery title in development.
SEGA’s European chief Jurgen Post spoke about the deal with MCV, stating:
We have Sonic: Lost World on Wii U and 3DS and then Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics later in the year too. Plus there is a third game we haven’t announced.
Historically Sonic games have always sold very well on Nintendo platforms, so it’s a good fit. And Nintendo and Sega have always worked together in a positive way – the first game Sonic debuted on after we stopped making hardware was a Nintendo platform.
Post later addressed the Wii U’s slow start. It’s a concern for sure, but Post hopes Sonic can help improve the situation:

Here’s what’s going on with the secret Pikmin 3 codes

Shigeru Miyamoto recently made a big deal out of certain codes players can obtain in Pikmin 3. Miyamoto has now posted a follow-up message on Miiverse outlining how the “reward” can be accessed.
On the Wii U’s Internet browser, visit this link. You’ll need to input your code – and that’s it. A video should then appear.
Multiple videos have already surfaced online, so it’s not just one that we’re dealing with. You can find the clips after the break.

Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D out next week on the 3DS eShop

Teyon has announced the next release in the Heavy Fire series, and it’s due out on the 3DS eShop in just a few days.
Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D is slated to launch on August 15 in both North America and Europe. Pricing is set at $4.99 / €4.99 respectively.
Below is the official overview:
The stage is set in the deep overgrown jungles of South America, where players take on the role of Will, one of the highly experienced US marines sent to fight against the largest international arms trafficking cartel known as Fuerza de Voluntad. Feeling the heat of the frontlines, this first person shooter allows players to upgrade their weapons and advance military ranks as well as experience the rush of having to reload their weapons before another spring attack. Each consecutive mission intensifies in action as player’s aim to vanquish the entire cartel in the most thrilling 3D military shooter!
Heavy Fire: Black Arms 3D will also include the following features:
• Complete missions through dense South American jungles with destructible objects and environments

Iwata says putting Nintendo games on other platforms would be a short-term fix, higher expectations, more

Some have said that Nintendo should take its franchises elsewhere. This has never been a realistic option, however, and president Satoru Iwata has said that such a move would only be a short-term fix to achieve profits.
“If I was to take responsibility for the company for just the next one or two years, and if I was not concerned about the long-term future of Nintendo at all, it might make sense for us to provide our important franchises for other platforms, and then we might be able to gain some short-term profit. However, I’m really responsible for the long-term future of Nintendo as well, so I would never think about providing our precious resources for other platforms at all.”
