Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on its platforms for the week of January 30, 2020. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:

Niantic has announced that it will kick off a new Lunar New Year event in Pokemon GO on January 24. Lasting through February 3, certain red Pokemon will be showing up more frequently. There are also plans for lucky bonuses and the appearance of Darumaka.

Minccino will also be arriving for a special Limited Research event on February 2.

Doom Eternal

When Doom Eternal was announced, the original goal was to have the Switch version out alongside all other versions. Unfortunately, that will no longer be happening.

A delay for Doom Eternal was announced last year. Whereas it was originally slated for November, the initial release will now take place in March instead. However, we still don’t actually have an exact date for the Switch version.

In a recent interview, id Software’s Marty Stratton commented on the Switch delay. Stratton also said that it’ll be launching “a bit later” on Nintendo’s console, though did not provide a more specific window.

Today, The Pokemon Company and Netflix announced a partnership that will see the premiere of Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution on Netflix. The movie will be appearing on the service around the world outside of Japan and Korea on February 27.

Nicalis will offer a physical version of the Switch racer Redout on March 27, the company has announced. Pricing is set at $39.99.

Those who pre-order the game on Nicalis’ store will have a chance to receive one of the first 1,000 copies that will include a mini CD soundtrack sampler inside the package.
