Limited Run approved for retail games on Switch, first release in 2018

Limited Run has been having a tough time with Nintendo recently, the big N having put them on hold to deal with bigger developers first. Luckily for Limited Run, Nintendo has approved them today to start working on retail versions of their games.
Their first game on Switch, they say, should be rolling out in 2018.

Yono and the Celestial Elephants update to add Switch Pro Controller support

Yono and the Celestial Elephants creator Niklas Hallin is cooking up a new patch for the game. Currently, the plan is to add in support for the Switch Pro Controller. Hallin says it’ll take some time for the patch to go through Nintendo’s submission process, “but it’s on its way.”
Hallin wrote on Twitter today:
Pro Controller support seems to be working in Yono now. It'll take a while to get a patch through the system, but it's on its way.

Heroes of the Monkey Tavern seems to be getting a demo

Heroes of the Monkey Tavern may very well be getting a demo. The “Coming Soon” section on the European eShop has a listing for the game, with an image promoting that a demo is available. It’s not actually out yet as far as we can tell, but it may be distributed closer to the release.
Monkey Stories hasn’t officially announced the Switch release date for Heroes of the Monkey Tavern. However, it’s currently planned for November 7.

Nintendo teases new Halloween eShop sale for Europe

Original: Next week, Nintendo will be holding a new Halloween eShop sale in Europe. A news message sent out to Switch users today teased the upcoming discounts. It’s possible that Wii U and 3DS will be involved as well, though that isn’t currently confirmed.
Nintendo merely said that gamers can look forward to a number of sales. It’ll begin on October 24, lasting until November 2.
We’ll bring you more news about the sale when we have it.

New characters were just announced for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle during an Arc System Works’ live stream. Three new additions were revealed.
First up, from Persona 4, Chie will be included in Cross Tag Battle. Noel Vermilion from BlazBlue and Waldstein from Under Night In-Birth will also be in the fighter.
