Super Bomberman R is Konami’s first game for Switch. The company has to be happy with its performance, as over 500,000 copies were shipped by the end of April.

Konami could choose to further support the system in the future. Speaking with Miketendo64, European brand manager Richard Jones noted that “there is lots of internal discussions going on within Konami regarding what games we can bring to the Nintendo Switch”. He also spoke about Castlevania in the same response, acknowledging the demand for a new game in the series.

Jones’ full comments:

Two more TurboGrafx-16 games are being added to the North American Wii U Virtual Console this week. Tomorrow, Konami will be publishing Alien Crush and Neutopia II on the eShop.

Below are overviews of both:

Alien Crush

“Alien Crush is a pinball game that features realistic pinball action and superb “biomechanical” graphics. Complete with a function to nudge the machine, this game feels like you’re playing on a real pinball machine! Extra balls and bonus points are your keys to getting high scores.”

Neutopia II

“Experience improved graphics and controls in this exciting sequel to the action RPG Neutopia. Take on the role of the main hero’s son and watch as the story begins with the apparent revival of Dirth, the evil demon. Once again you’ll need to rely on your magic compass and the information you’ve gathered to find entrances to labyrinths and defeat the bosses in them. Make your way through the field, which can be tricky at times, to search for and find hidden information and items, or move blocks and destroy walls to uncover secret rooms.”

Alien Crush and Neutopia II will be priced at $5.99 each.

TumbleSeed is a quality eShop release, but its difficulty might be off putting for some. To fix that, an update is in the works that will make things easier.

On Twitter yesterday, developer Greg Wohlwend noted that the difficulty and response is “our fault, at least in part, and we are trying to find out if there’s anything we can do to fix it.” Wohlwend further added:

“We know how the current version of the game comes off when played in a review setting. Most likely you’ll play it, decide it’s too difficult, and be done with the game. We’re working on fixing that. So before we solicit more reviews, we’d like to try these ideas out first. Our changes probably won’t ‘save the game’, but we hope to give anyone that wanders into our game a fighting chance at enjoying it. TumbleSeed is the best thing I’ve worked on,” he wrote, “which makes the tepid response all the more confusing.”
