Video: Yuzuke Kozaki draws Fire Emblem Heroes’ Sharena on an iPad Pro

Sharena is one of the original characters of Fire Emblem Heroes – she was designed by Yusuke Kozaki, who was also responsible for the character designs of Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates. Nintendo just published a video of Yusuke Kozaki drawing Sharena on an iPad Pro. Give it a watch if you’re interested in his process:

Wii U / 3DS maintenance taking place tonight / tomorrow

Maintenance has been scheduled for the Wii U and 3DS network services for the upcoming days. Some basic maintenance is schedule for two blocks, with times as follows:
– 5 PM PT (February 6) – 7 PM PT (February 6)

– 1 AM in the UK (February 7) – 3 AM in the UK (February 7)

A look inside the probable wrap-up party for Zelda: Breath of the Wild

At the end of last week, Monolith Soft’s Yasuyuki Honne posted the above image on his Twitter page. He said that it’s from a “wrap up party for certain game at certain hotel in Kyoto.” Honne also mentioned how he’s glad / relieved that it’s finished.
That image is likely from the Zelda: Breath of the Wild wrap up party. We know that Monolith Soft helped out with the title, and it’s just a few weeks away from launch.
It also looks like Shigeru Miyamoto was in attendance, and he was standing next to someone wearing a Link-esque hat…

First glimpse of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s “Pro” HUD mode

One of settings found in Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s options menu is for the HUD mode. We now know that it can be switched between “Normal” and “Pro”.
YouTuber Gehab managed to grab a few seconds of off-screen footage showing the Pro mode in action. It disables some elements such as the mini-map and temperature meter, leaving you with just hearts on the screen. There might be times when players may find that the mode comes in handy, so it’s a nice little option.

Famitsu continued its extensive Switch coverage this week by publishing an interview with Kosuke Yabuki, the producer of Arms. This is the first time we’re really able to hear from Yabuki about the game in-depth since its reveal at the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017.
Yabuki explained to Famitsu how Arms came to be, talking about how it emerged as one of Nintendo’s various prototypes and wanting to try something new in the fighting genre. He also teased more content news to come (including characters, arms, and modes), touched on the controls, and more.

Square Enix is back with more news about Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3 Professional. Even though it’s the weekend, the company shares new details and screenshots about Speed Road and Demon King Class Monsters. Find the content rounded up below, courtesy of Gematsu.
Speed Road
– In Break World, where the protagonist and other characters live, there is a secret practice facility called “Masters Road” that only monster masters can challenge
– A secret facility has also been discovered in the World of Incarnus
– Here, a new adventure will take place known as “Speed Road”
– The only thing this facility requires is technique
– Ride your favorite monster and run through the decided course like a race with your eyes on the goal
– At the goal, you can receive a great number of rewards, which you won’t want to miss getting if you’re a monster master
– Speed Road’s entrance is in the middle of nowhere
– Discovering the entrance is also one of your tests as a monster master
– Monsters will block your path on the course
– Skillfully slip through them while collecting the crystals that drop on the course and aim for the goal
– Crystals come in all shapes and sizes
– The bigger the crystals, the higher your score
– Use SP (Special) Items to brush away enemies for a short time
– Get crystals from defeated enemies
– After reaching the goal, you’ll receive a reward depending on your score
– Collect a lot of crystals to get a premium item
– Various stages to take on
Demon King Class Monsters
– Demon King class monsters that have appeared in the Dragon Quest series will continue to appear in this game
– Making friends with the monsters that stood before you as formidable enemies, and then adventuring together, is a feature unique to the Monsters series
– Won’t be easy to befriend the monsters
– Demon King Omudo Rex (from Dragon Quest Monsters: Super Light): the huge weapon Omudo Lores created its own personality in order to think and grow on its own; everything it does is in order to carry out the commands of its master
– Aldarala (from Hoshi no Dragon Quest): loves slaughter more than anything; exerts itself to the limits of brutality, so it is said to get excited and become unable to sleep at night
