Nintendo has sent out a notice to Miitomo users, informing them about an update set to be made available in the near future.

One big addition will be new ways of adding friends. You’ll be able to connect with those you know by email, among other methods.

Nintendo also says the Miitomo update will let users answer the same question as others when looking at “All Answers” while also making it possible to edit a Miifoto before posting it as a comment. Finally, there will be speed optimizations as well.

Splatoon’s 14th Splatfest will be taking place next weekend in all regions. As a collaboration with Miitomo, the theme asks players if they’d rather attend a fancy party or a costume party. This is the first Slatfest to be held simultaneously worldwide.

The latest Splatfest will begin at the following times:

– 8 PM PT (May 13)
– 11 PM ET (May 13)
– 4 AM in the UK (May 14)
– 5 AM in Europe (May 14)

And it will conclude at the following times:

– 3 AM PT (May 15)
– 6 AM ET (May 15)
– 11 AM in the UK (May 15)
– 12 AM in Europe (May 15)

Soon after the Splatfest ends, we’ll post the results right here.

Pocket Card Jockey came out on the 3DS eShop today, and was accompanied by several reviews (including ours!). We have a roundup of some notable verdicts we’ve come across below.

Nintendo Everything – Thumbs Up

Shacknews – 7 / 10
Nintendo Life – 7 / 10
Destructoid – 9.5 / 10
USgamer – 4 / 5

Aside from highlighting the upcoming Zelda game, Nintendo isn’t doing a whole lot at E3 this year. That being said, the company will be hosting a presentation for “business partners that will showcase key launches and programs through Holiday 2016.” Nintendo has conducted similar events in the past.

The presentation will be held on June 14 between 9 AM and 10 AM PT (12 PM ET and 1 PM ET). Keep in mind that it’s unlikely that we’ll be seeing much from this. If nothing else, it’s interesting to see this part of Nintendo’s E3 traditions is still alive!

Super Punch Out!! is now available on the New 3DS Virtual Console. Take a look at a trailer for the game below.

Just like last year, The Pokemon Company has provided its 2015 brand licensing results through License! Global.

The Pokemon Company took the 29th spot on the list with $2.1 billion in total retail sales of licensed products worldwide. This includes media such as video games, anime, the trading card game, and more.

That result stacks up pretty favorably to 2014. In that year, The Pokemon Company generated $2 billion.

License! Global’s report contains the following blurb on Pokemon:

The Pokémon 20th anniversary kicked off with the brand’s first ever Pokémon Super Bowl ad during Super Bowl 50, which was viewed by more than 110 million people during the game and watched more than 26 million times on YouTube. The spot encourages fans to Train On. Four Mythical Pokémon video game character distribution events will take place at participating GameStop locations throughout 2016, with one being distributed quarterly. TOMY International, Pokémon’s master toy licensee, has also created special Mythical Pokémon figures and plush to celebrate 20 years of Pokémon. Pokémon TCG fans can celebrate 20 years of Pokémon with the Pokémon TCG: Generations expansion. Highly anticipated Pokémon video games launch in 2016, including the fast-action fighting game for the Wii U, Pokkén Tournament, which launched in March. Also, the seventh generation of Pokémon video games, Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, will launch in time for holiday season for the Nintendo 3DS family systems.
