Ubisoft is bringing out the latest game based on The Smurfs to North America next month. As far as I’m aware, this is the same title that released in Europe back in July.

Here’s the full overview:

Chaos has erupted in the Smurfs’ village and Papa Smurf is counting on you to save the day. Upon returning from a walk in the woods, the Smurfs find their home mysteriously destroyed. Players must embark on a journey to help solve the mystery of who damaged their village, and help to rebuild it.

In The Smurfs, players are challenged in a variety of 12 mini-games and must collect resources such as wood, rocks and bricks from iconic locations such as Gargamel’s Laboratory to the deep forest surrounding the village. By sawing logs, nailing planks and piling bricks, players will have the ability to get creative and customize the Smurfs’ houses and village, creating the greatest village ever seen for Papa Smurf, Smurfette and all their friends.

Developed by Magic Pockets, all of the game’s mini-games are tailored for Nintendo 3DS. Taking full advantage of its features, players will play hide-and-seek using the Nintendo 3DS Stylus, pilot a plane through the woodland, organize music contests and create their very own recipes by tilting the Nintendo 3DS to mix ingredients and blow into the microphone to cool their preparations.

The Smurfs will be available for $29.99 on October 13. View some screenshots below.

Nintendo UK uploaded a new Super Mario Maker video, which features Shigeru Miyamoto and takes a look at a few reviews for the game. You can find it out below.

This week’s issue of Famitsu features an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka.

At one point of the discussion, Tezuka addresses the series’ future in which he states: “We will continue to make 3D and 2D Mario games, but I want to make one that even exceeds New Super Mario Bros.”

Famitsu then asks if there is a particular plan in mind. Tezuka only offered up the following: “I can’t say anything concrete yet, but you may see it within a few years.”

It also sounds like Tezuka has interest in working on a non-Mario title. He told the magazine: “I also kind of want to seriously work on something other than Mario.”

In this week’s issue of Famitsu, new characters are revealed for Project X Zone 2, including a somewhat surprising addition.

Segata Sanshiro will be featured in the title, according to leaks from the magazine. Back in the late ’90s, SEGA used Sanshiro to help promote the SEGA Saturn in Japan.

Segata Sanshiro will be in Project X Zone 2 as a solo unit. Captain Commando, June Lin Milliam from Star Gladiator, and Heihachi Mishima (Tekken) are also confirmed.

Nintendo originally launched the Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle over a year ago. But the offer is being made even better, as an eShop download card for the two related DLC packs is included inside. This bundle is now available at stores across North America for $299.99.

That isn’t the only Wii U package available. On Friday, Nintendo will begin selling a Super Mario Maker bundle at Walmart. This includes a Wii U console, a copy of the game, Idea Book and the 30th Anniversary Mario Modern Color amiibo.

This week’s issue of Famitsu shares an update on Hyrule Warriors Legends. For the first time since E3, we have concrete information about the title.

Famitsu confirms that Toon Link will be playable in Hyrule Warriors Legends, but there’s a catch. The character won’t be available in Legend Mode, but he will be available in other modes. Of course, Toon Link can be moved over to the Wii U version as well.

Famitsu also reconfirms that Tetra and King of Hyrule for the game. Helmaroc King will appear in some form, too.
