Update 2: And now the update is officially available!

Update: Nintendo has removed all mention of this update from its website… so I suppose it’s not available after all! Regardless, it should be out soon.

Nintendo has released a new firmware update for 3DS. Version 10.0.0-27 is out now in all territories.

Despite the change in numbers (from version 9 to 10), it doesn’t seem as though the update adds any major functionality. Of the new firmware, Nintendo simply states: “Further improvements to overall system stability, system security, and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

In order to access the eShop, you’ll need to download today’s update.
