Nintendo of Europe uploaded a new trailer for Super Mario Maker today. It starts off with a trip down memory lane, and then gets into some action from the upcoming Wii U title. Watch the video below.

Good Mood Creators announced a new mode for its 2D platformer Mekazoo today. The game will feature local cooperative multiplayer, the studio has revealed. This mode will debut at PAX Prime 2015.

Here’s how it works:

In Mekazoo, the stylish mekanimals challenge levels in pairs as a tag team, seamlessly switching between each other at the touch of a button. In cooperative multiplayer, each player controls a single mekanimal, the inactive player controlling only the “switch” button to transform to their animal, creating dynamic moments of teamwork and cooperation.

Overcoming certain obstacles requires the ability specific to one character in the duo, so in order to advance through each level players must alternate between the two characters. Oftentimes players will need to quickly switch back and forth between both mekanimals to progress, making proper timing essential when tagging characters in and out.

There are a total of five mekanimals in Mekazoo: the armadillo, frog, wallaby, panda, and high-flying pelican.

Mekazoo will be available on Wii U in Q1 2016. View some screenshots below.

Legend of Kay Anniversary will be available on Wii U both physically and digitally. If you’re going for the latter option, you may be interested to hear that the game is a 3.4 GB download. That size is for Europe, but it should be very similar in North America.

Since it’s unknown if Dragon Quest XI will be on Nintendo platforms or not, we’re pretty much just rounding up everything here. You can watch the reveal of the game at 4:00 AM ET / 1:00 AM ET tomorrow on YouTube.

Update (7/24): Bumped to the top. No real surprise here, but we have further proof that the announcement will be Dragon Quest XI. Square Enix’s press invite says the company will announce “the first main Dragon Quest title in three years”. There will also be details about other Dragon Quest titles, so if nothing else, hopefully we’ll hear more about Dragon Quest VIII and Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker 3.

This week’s issue of Jump teases the reveal of a new Dragon Quest game. Square Enix will be holding a presentation on July 28, and the company is expected to announce a new title in the series. The event will be live streamed online.

Jump says that its August 3 issue will have information about “that big title”. Based on what we know thus far, many people believe that an announcement about Dragon Quest XI is incoming.

Dragon Quest IX and Dragon Quest X were both on Nintendo platforms. If we will be hearing about Dragon Quest XI soon, it will be interesting to see if this one ends up on a Nintendo system as well.
