Capcom shares interesting insight into Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, Ace Attorney 6

Last month’s issue of Nintendo Dream has a big interview with Takeshi Yamazaki and Motohide Eshiro from Capcom about all things Ace Attorney. The two developers provided some interesting insight into Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies as well as Ace Attorney 6. It’s several pages long, so we went ahead and made a summary.
The most difficult aspect of developing Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies was moving platforms from DS to 3DS. At the time, Capcom hesitated as to whether to keep the series in 2D or make it 3D. Because of the 3DS’ selling point had been about three-dimensional views, they decided to pursue the latter option.
Something similar happened with Ace Attorney Investigations. That title took more time to develop because they needed to create a new gameplay mechanism from scratch. However, when Capcom then made Ace Attorney Investigations 2, they already had the base game set up so they could focus more on the scenario.

Let’s Talk #40: What do you want to see from Pokemon Sun/Moon?
A big Pokemon announcement was made yesterday. Although we did see it coming due to European trademark leaks, we can now officially say that Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are the latest entries in the series, and both will be out on 3DS later this year.
Thus far, we don’t actually know much about Sun and Moon. It looks like we’ll have a new world to explore, and new Pokemon are being introduced as well. That should mean we’re entering an entirely new generation.
Since we know so little about what’s coming, that leaves the door open to plenty of possibilities. Having said that, is there anything in particular you’d like to see in Sun/Moon? Are there gameplay changes or new features you’d be interested in? Let us know in the comments below!

Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games 3DS sold through 80% of its initial shipment in Japan
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 7 Comments
Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games debuted on 3DS in Japan on February 18. During its first week (through February 21), the game moved about 44,000 copies. Dengeki also reports that Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games sold through 80 percent of its initial shipment.
How does that stack up to the series’ last entry? We don’t have a sell-through rate for that one, but Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games sold 45,000 units in its first week before going on to sell 267,000 copies total. Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games seems to be on a similar trajectory.

On Monday, NeoGAF user “Trevelyan9999” posted alleged details regarding NX and Nintendo’s lineup for 2016. I usually tend to be skeptical when it comes to rumors from sources that I’m unfamiliar with or aren’t widely known, so I held off on sharing that on the site.
