Even though E3 is over, we’re still seeing off-screen videos of Nintendo’s games appearing on YouTube. Since we’ve already posted a massive amount of footage over the past few days, we’re now going to start rounding things up into one post. We’ll update this one throughout the day with any videos we come across.

Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is officially launching in all major territories. At an anniversary event for the franchise, SEGA announced that the game will be releasing in Japan this winter.

For the most part, the name will be mostly the same. It’ll be called “Sonic Toon: Fire & Ice” in Japan.

In this month’s issue of Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream, Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. art director Takako Sakai opened up on the game’s art style and visuals as a whole.

According to Sakai, he wanted there to be as few differences as possible between the 2D illustrations and in-game 3D models.

Sakai began by creating character illustrations that imitated the feel of American comics from 1960 since he felt that was nicely compatible with polygons. However, this style was also chosen since he personally liked it.

Next, Sakai shares the following about why and how the art style in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. changed a bit:

Siliconera has translated a number of details pertaining to the characters Lugner and Mariel in Langrisser Re:Incarnation Tensei. You’ll find the information rounded up below.

Lugner Menteur (CV:Ei Mochizuki)

– Commander-in-chief that leads the army of the Brightness faction
– Bishop of the Goddess Luciris’ teachings
– His beautiful looks are uncommon
– They say that there’s more to him than just his good looks
– His father was a craftsman
– Lugner’s father was also a drunkard
– This had a huge effect on Lugner’s early life
– He hides such a past with bright smiles, but behind that is a more serious and dark reality that not many know
– He uses his excellent negotiation skills and his keen senses as his weapon
– Put in effort to rise to the top as a bishop, but still remains ambitious

Mariel Sarlus (CV: Ayano Yamamoto):

– Priestess of Brightness
– Supports Jessica
– Gentle lady who is always happy and smiling
– Of noble origins
– Knows her way through battle
– Lives a bit of a laidback lifestyle during her off-time
– When she speaks with others, she’s full of affection, but even when she understands what they’re trying to say, she’ll still make an attempt to make small arguments, just for the sake of it
– A gentle character and means no harm

Nintendo World in New York is taking pre-orders for a number of games, including Chibi-Robo!: Zip Lash. It’s looking like the amiibo bundle for the game will set you back $50 (as the receipt above shows).

Throughout E3, we’ve heard that Zelda: Tri Force Heroes’ co-op only allows for either three players to team up together, or for one person to go through the game alone. Two players is not an option unless you want to experience the optional Colosseum mode.

Wondering what happens if you’re playing with friends and one of them drops out or quits? Well, director Hiromasa Shikata told Kotaku that you’ll be presented with a game over screen. On the bright side, your progress will be saved.
