At Fan Expo Boston 2018 last month, David Hayter hosted a panel. Gamers best know Hayter as the voice of Snake in the Metal Gear Solid series.
At one point, Hayter actually commented on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and mentioned that codecs have yet to be recorded for the game. However, he’s apparently offered to Nintendo to be involved for all of the new characters.

The Midnight Sanctuary, first announced for Switch in May, has received a release date. Nintendo’s website lists the title for October 4.
The Midnight Sanctuary comes from Cavyhouse, and is an occult horror visual novel. Find more details and a trailer below.

NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 will have a physical release

NBA Playgrounds is only available digitally on Switch. Its sequel, however, will also be sold physically. A listing on GameStop shows that 2K will offer NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 at retail.
NBA 2K Playgrounds 2 is due out sometime this fall. Saber Interactive self-published the first title, though 2K is stepping in for the new game.

Nintendo has shared new data revealing the top top 30 most-downloaded Switch games in North America for August 2018. Fortnite unsurprisingly leads the way again, but Hollow Knight, Dead Cells, Overcooked 2, and Zelda: Breath of the Wild are also in the top five.

Game Freak director Junichi Masuda appeared on this week’s episode of Pokenchi as promised. Masuda was present to share a few new details and footage – the latter of which is not available just yet, unfortunately.
First up, Masuda showed various changes with HMs where you call upon Pikachu / Eevee to summon a special move to cut trees or Surf. Such moves do not take up your moveslots.
