The Long Reach launches March 14 on Switch

The Long Reach is a title we heard about for Switch last year. Although it missed its original target window, we now have a release date. Merge Games and Painted Black Games have announced that The Long Reach will be available on March 14.
The Long Reach is an adventure game, but also “a thrilling horror story, flavored with sci-fi ideology, psychological context and a sceptical view on the human psyche.” We have more information and a trailer below.
Switch, Minecraft maintenance taking place this week

Nintendo has started to update its maintenance schedule for this week. So far, two sessions are planned. One is specifically for Switch and general while the other is for Minecraft (which probably means an update is on the way).
The full maintenance schedule is as follows:
Switch
– 4:50 PM PT (January 30) – 6:30 PM PT (January 30)
– 7:50 PM ET (January 30) – 9:30 PM ET (January 30)
– 12:50 AM in the UK (January 31) – 2:30 AM in the UK (January 31)
– 1:50 AM in Europe (January 31) – 3:30 AM in Europe (January 31)
Minecraft (Switch / Wii U)
– 5:50 PM PT (January 30) – 7:30 PM PT (January 30)

Special quests are now available where you can collect orbs and the three heroes: Hinata, Saizo and Gwendolyn. These shall be available until February 12th.

Nintendo Switch Parental Controls update out now on iOS (version 1.4.1)

The Nintendo Switch Parental Controls app has received an update, though it only looks to be available on iOS at present. The latest patch is version 1.4.1. Nintendo’s update notes only make mention of bug fixes.
As far as we’re aware, this update has not yet been distributed on Android. Google Play still has Nintendo Switch Parental Controls at version 1.4.0. If that changes, we’ll let you know.
