My Nintendo allows you to register physical Switch games to earn Gold Points; Switch rewards “soon”
Posted on 8 years ago by Matt(@OnePunchMaz) in News, Switch, Switch eShop | 18 Comments
The Nintendo Switch is finally launching tomorrow, and various parts of Nintendo’s online infrastructure are getting ready for it – including My Nintendo.
You can now register physical Nintendo Switch games to earn Gold Points on My Nintendo – something that wasn’t possible on Wii U and 3DS. However, physical games get you fewer points than digital games – this is likely to encourage people to buy games digitally.
Rewards for Nintendo Switch are also coming to My Nintendo, though they can’t be viewed at the moment – they’re labelled as “coming soon”.

Nintendo Switch cartridges intentionally taste bitter to dissuade ingestion

To avoid the possibility of accidental ingestion, keep the game card away from young children. A bittering agent (Denatonium Benzoate) has also been applied to the game card. This bittering agent is non-toxic.
So, how many of you are going to lick your Switch cartridges as soon as you get them?
