Wondering who directed The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds? That would be Hiromasa Shikata.
Shikata has worked on a bunch of Nintendo titles in the past – some of which may surprise you.
Shikata began making the backgrounds and fields of Zelda games, including Ocarina of Time, Majora’s Mask, and Wind Waker. You may be interested to learn that he created the design of the Kakariko Village windmill in Ocarina of Time and a great deal of Wind Waker’s Forsaken Fortress. Shikata also helped out with Twilight Princess as an assistant director and was a lead planner on Spirit Tracks.
Shikata also contributed to the first Pikmin, Geist, and Nintendo Land before eventually moving on to A Link Between Worlds.

Hitoshi Ariga worked on several Pokemon designs for X/Y

Hitoshi Ariga, perhaps best known for his work on the Mega Man manga series, has revealed his involvement with Pokemon X/Y.
Ariga worked on several creature designs for the two games. Pangoro, Inkay, Malamar, Honedge, Doublade, Aegislash, Tyrunt, Tyrantrum, Amaura, and Aurorus are all Ariga’s creations.
Ariga wrote in a new deviantART post, “the Pokemon art director, Sugimori, had taken notice of some of my past work and that’s why he asked me if I’d be interested in doing some design work for Pokemon XY.”
So in some ways, designing Pokemon for XY was like an extension of my days of drawing monsters for “ActRaiser 2” and “Beyond Oasis”. I am a Pokemon Trainer as well as an illustrator, so needless to say I was incredibly honored and pleased to have this opportunity.
