Astria Ascending

Following its reveal earlier this week, Dear Villagers and Artisan Studios have officially announced Astria Ascending. The RPG will launch on Switch worldwide in 2021.

Here’s an overview with official details:

Hoa

Hoa, the adventure-platformer originally scheduled for April, has been delayed. PM Studios and Skrollcat Studio announced today that the game will now launch in July.

While the delay will come as a disappointment to fans, there is some good news for collector’s. It’s now confirmed that Hoa will be sold physically at retailers. You can pre-order the game on Amazon here.

Monyuu

Experience announced its new dungeon RPG Monyuu for Switch last week. During a new “EXP Channel” live stream today, fresh information was shared as well as first actual gameplay.

Here’s the full roundup of tidbits, courtesy of Gematsu:

Balan Wonderworld

Some pretty concerning news started to spread yesterday regarding an actual health risk while playing Balan Wonderworld. When going up against the final boss, there’s a photo-sensitive epilepsy risk. Those that suffer from seizures or flashing effects in general could be putting themselves in harm’s way.

If there’s one bright spot to the situation, it’s that Square Enix has already addressed the issue, which is a result of an apparent bug. The company says that the game’s day one patch – which should be live – removes any potential health triggers.

The full statement is as follows:

The Caligula Effect 2

Monster Hunter Rise

Capcom has announced via twitter that additional content will be added to Monster Hunter Rise via free updates in the coming weeks. The tweet, translated by NintendoLife, explains:

“Monster Hunter Rise” In “Ver.2.0” scheduled to be delivered at the end of April, “Nushi Rio Leus” will be newly released! Several additional monsters, including the Kasumi Dragon “Onazuchi”, will appear as early as about a month later. Prepare for more monsters!

Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town has reached an impressive sales milestone in its first month of release. Marvelous has announced that the game has sold over 700,000 worldwide units (counting both digital and physical sales) with a short time on the market.

The western version of Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town has only been out for three days (launching March 23), while the Japanese version has been out since February 25, 2021. This is quite the sales accomplishment given this small time of being released and the fact the game is only on the Switch.

Hopefully, the sales will continue to climb and Marvelous will give more updates on the sales numbers soon.
