Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition was announced earlier this year. At the time, it was said that the title would be releasing sometime this spring. While we’re still without a release date in the west, we do have some important news.

Natsume Atari announced today that it will publish Friday the 13th: The Game Ultimate Slasher Switch Edition in Japan. The game even has a release date of August 29. Pricing is set at 4,800 yen.

Update: Caladrius Blaze will be released worldwide digitally, but the physical version will only be available in Asia and Korea.


Orignial: A few months ago, Caladrius Blaze was rated for Switch in Taiwan. It was a strong sign that Moss’ shoot ’em up would be heading to Nintendo’s console.

Play-Asia is now reporting that this will be happening, and very soon at that. H2 Interactive will distribute Caladrius Blaze for Switch on July 19. Best of all, Asia will be getting a very of the game with English support.

Digital Foundry has offered a closer look at Team Sonic Racing on Switch from a technical perspective. After inspecting the game, one of the main takeaways is that it’s a very strong version.

Team Sonic Racing looks very visually similar on Switch compared to other versions of the game, Digital Foundry reports. There are some differences though, such as how the opening intro is missing on Nintendo’s console – which we mentioned previously.

Star Wars Pinball was announced for Switch back in April. We now have confirmation that the game will be sold physically.

Amazon has added in a listing for Star Wars Pinball on Switch, complete with official boxart – see it above. There’s also a page up on GameStop now as well.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order

In the latest episode of the Game Informer show, Marvel Games VP and creative director​​​​​​​ Bill Rosemann explained the approach to deciding the roster in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. Rosemann mentioned a few factors, but emphasized the importance of having characters that fit the gameplay and story.

He explained:

Fans have many dream characters they’d like to see in Super Smash Bros. across all sorts of franchises and mediums. Now that Marvel is getting heavily involved with gaming and even has an exclusive Switch title coming out in the very near future, could we see one of their characters in Nintendo’s fighter?

Game Informer posed that question to Marvel Games’ VP and creative director​​​​​​​ Bill Rosemann in its podcast last week. Rosemann seemed somewhat interested in idea, but was quick to note that such a decision would not fall in his hands.

Inti Creates has announced that Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX will be sold physically in Japan. Copies will be sold for 3,818 yen, and will include a music CD with tracks from Lola, Copen’s partner in the game.

What about the west? Inti Creates has indicated that is is “trying” to make a physical version happen outside of Japan, but nothing is confirmed at this time.
