Mortal Kombat 11

Mortal Kombat 11 director Ed Boon has confirmed that a new update is coming soon to the Switch version of the game. It should be available this week – around Friday – or early next week, Boon said.

Specifics about the patch have not been shared. However, Boon did note that the update will “make it at parity with the PS4 and Xbox One versions.” Stay tuned for further information.

A few days ago, Nintendo’s own website appeared to leak the lineup of games being added to Switch Online for the month of May. Donkey Kong Jr., VS. Excitebike, and Clu Clu Land were all listed as upcoming titles. Nintendo has now confirmed the news officially.

Donkey Kong Jr., VS. Excitebike, and Clu Clu are indeed this month’s NES releases. All three are slated for May 15.

Here’s an introduction to each game:

Nintendo has announced the latest Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event. This week, the theme is “Mum’s the Word!”, in which motherly spirits will be appearing. Battles won while the event is active will provide you with a Health Drain item and triple the SP you’d normally receive.

The latest Smash Bros. Ultimate Spirit Board event should kick off on Friday. Like past events, look for it to last a few days.

As part of its month-long coverage, Game Informer has revealed two new characters for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel will both be playable, the magazine confirms. We have character art for both in this post.

According to Game Informer, the full roster in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order “is well over two dozen names long”.
