Currently there is no easy way of backing up save data on Switch. If your system experiences a major issue for whatever reason, your saves may very well be in jeopardy. That naturally raises concerns for Switch owners. When you’ve poured hundreds of hours into games like Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey, you don’t want to lose all of that progress.

Mashable brought up the issue in an interview with Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. Reggie acknowledged that Nintendo is aware of these concerns, though there’s nothing to announce about backing up save data at present.

Reggie noted the following:

Sonic Forces

When Sonic Forces arrives next week, SEGA will have a day-one update ready. The company confirmed the patch on Sonic’s official Twitter account.

The tweet is as follows:

SEGA hasn’t gone into the specifics of the update just yet. If/when we receive patch notes, we’ll be sure to bring them to you.

Nintendo celebrated the launch of Super Mario Odyssey in a big way last week. Take a look at an official video recapping the festivities in New York below.

Switch owners discovered a fantastic Easter egg several weeks ago. On July 11, Golf can be accessed on the system by motioning the Joy-Con in a certain way. Basically, you need to perform the “direct” motion late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata used to show in Nintendo Direct presentations.

Kotaku recently asked Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime about the Easter egg. Oddly though, he was fairly quiet about it and wouldn’t really comment on the tribute specifically.

Here’s what Reggie said:

Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap

Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap came to Switch earlier this year as a digital title. A physical version was announced not too long ago, though only for Asia. Nicalis has since announced a partnership with DotEmu for a retail release of the game in North America.

The physical version of Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap will ship in Q1 2018. It’ll be priced at $39.99.
