Reggie asked about Switch’s Golf Easter egg / Satoru Iwata tribute, remains mostly quiet
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 8 Comments
Switch owners discovered a fantastic Easter egg several weeks ago. On July 11, Golf can be accessed on the system by motioning the Joy-Con in a certain way. Basically, you need to perform the “direct” motion late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata used to show in Nintendo Direct presentations.
Kotaku recently asked Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime about the Easter egg. Oddly though, he was fairly quiet about it and wouldn’t really comment on the tribute specifically.
Here’s what Reggie said:

An updated packaging image for the Switch version of WWE 2K18 confirms a download requirement for the physical version. If you plan on picking the game up, you’ll need 24GB of free space for an extra download.
Extra downloads for physical releases of Switch games are starting to become more common. Just a few hours ago, we heard about something similar with L.A. Noire. Doom will also have a separate download for multiplayer.
Ubisoft publishing Uno on the Japanese Switch eShop next week

Uno is heading to Switch next week in Japan, a listing on the eShop reveals. Ubisoft will be publishing the game on November 7. Pricing is set at 1,296 yen.
You’ll be able to play with up to four players either locally or online. Support for Switch’s touchscreen is also included.
Below are a few screenshots that also show off Rayman and Rabbids themes:
Uno for Switch was first made known through a PEGI listing, so it should be available soon in North America and Europe soon as well. But if you just can’t wait, English will be supported, so you shouldn’t have any issues if you purchase it from the Japanese eShop.

EA not ready to fully commit to Switch just yet, trying “to fully understand what the demand is”
Posted on 7 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 141 Comments
EA released FIFA 18 on Switch a few weeks ago. However, the publisher isn’t in a rush to prepare additional games for the system.
The Wall Street Journal, having spoken with finance chief Blake Jorgensen, says EA is waiting until Switch has been out on the market for a full year before deciding whether to bring over more games. Jorgensen told the publication that it’s too early to tell whether FIFA 18 has been successful on Switch. EA wants “to fully understand what the demand is” for the system before it commits additional resources.
We do know that EA will be publishing Fe on Switch early next year. That was partially due to developer Zoink pushing to have its game on Nintendo’s console.
