Rumor: Nintendo Direct set for week of September 12, Zelda news incoming
Posted on 2 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Switch | 0 comments
Original (8/31): According to Giant Bomb’s Jeff Grubb, a Nintendo Direct could air during the week of September 12. September 14 could be the most logical date based on when prior presentations have taken place and the fact the Tokyo Game Show will begin on September 15 in Japan. Grubb believes that the Nintendo Direct is planned for September 13 or 14 – depending on the time zone you’re in.
As for what the new Nintendo Direct will contain, Grubb thinks that “there’s going to be a lot of Zelda stuff” and “it will be a Zelda blowout”. Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD for Switch, which have been previously rumored, are thought to be making an appearance plus potentially Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Another possibility (but keep in mind Grubb doesn’t confirm its presence) is the Metroid Prime remaster – something else that there’s been speculation about.

Due to negative feedback, Microids went back to the drawing board and implemented fixes plus adjustments while adding online multiplayer. Tower Five, a studio brought in for the updated version, also redid the art direction, AI, and more. Switch will now be getting this updated version.

Splatoon 3 to add function letting you send notifications to players outside of friends via future updates
Posted on 2 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 0 comments
With the way online gameplay works in Splatoon 3, a notification is sent if your friend starts a match. Notifications also become available in players’ in-game notification list. It’s even possible to drop in to the battle from the notification that lets them know the battle has started, making it easier to play online with friends.
In the future, notifications will be expanded outside of your friends as well. That news comes from director Shintaro Sato, who touched on update plans in a new Splatoon 3 interview.
Here’s what he shared on that front:
