New visual novel The Fox Awaits me HANA has been announced for Switch by developer TALESshop and publisher COSEN. The game is set to launch in 2023 in Japan, with no western release announced. However, as most COSEN titles tend to get localized down the line, we’ll keep you updated if the game is announced to release in the West.

Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires demo

Koei Tecmo and Omega Force have announced that a free demo for Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is now available on Switch. You can access it via the eShop.

Today’s demo “features the all-new evolved castle sieges, including both invasion battles and defense. Storm the enemy castle, or fight to defend your fortress in this challenging tutorial. Virtual warlords can play through each siege scenario repeatedly to discover and develop the best strategies to overpower and outthink opponents.”

Pokemon Legends Arceus reviews

The next major Pokemon game is almost here with Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and reviews are now starting to come in. Nintendo lifted the embargo on the Switch title just a few minutes ago and the first verdicts are now live.

monster hunter stories 2 sales 1.4 million

Sales of Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin have exceeded 1.4 million copies, Capcom has confirmed. That news comes straight from the company’s latest financial report published today.

Capcom’s results for the nine months ended December 31, 2021 saw net sales at 88,163 million (up 35.9 percent year-over-year), operating income at 35,096 million yen (up 43.9 percent year-over-year), ordinary income at 36,148 million yen (up 50.1 percent year-over-year), and net income attributable to owners of the parent at 26,708 million yen (up 52.4 percent year-over-year). It said that sales for Monster Hunter Stories 2 as well as Resident Evil Village “continued to perform well”.

Limited Run Games has revealed plans for yet another physical game on Switch, this time for Mythic Ocean. Only a standard copy will be available – a collector’s edition is not planned.

Mythic Ocean first appeared on Switch in July 2021. Thus far, it has only been available as a digital download.

Death's Gambit Ashes of Vados

Serenity Forge and White Rabbit aren’t finished with Death’s Gambit: Afterlife, as new DLC for the game has been announced known as Ashes of Vados. It will land on Switch this spring.

Ashes of Vados comes with a brand-new boss encounter with a drastically different heroic boss variant that will conclude the final story thread of Death’s Gambit: Afterlife. It also includes “the ultimate platforming challenge level and a new Arena with both boss rush and horde mode.” Finally, there’ll be alternative game modifiers with modes such as randomized items, heroic forced and hardcore mode. Each one of these challenges contains their own set of rewards.

Young Souls physical

Young Souls hasn’t released on Switch yet, but we already have confirmation that a physical release is on the way. Limited Run Games will be handling distribution.

Like many of Limited Run’s offerings, there’ll be a standard version and a collector’s edition. The latter one includes a keychain, double-sided poster, and CD soundtrack in a collector’s box.
