Nintendo gave us a first look at The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild during E3 2014 with a trailer. At that time though, the project hadn’t been completely shaped yet.

Series producer Eiji Aonuma reconfirmed to EDGE this month that the video was running in real time and in-engine. However, the scene shown was made especially for the trailer. When we saw Link shooting arrows at the Guardian on his horse, jumping off, and firing off one last arrow in mid-air at the enemy in slow motion, you couldn’t actually do that.

Aonuma mentioned how he “really wanted to put that in the game” and realized his vision following the trailer. It also made the team expand on Breath of the Wild in terms of story. Interestingly enough, the trailer ended up as “the basis for the whole game.”

Aonuma’s words in full:

IGN has new footage of LEGO Dimensions from San Diego Comic-Con 2016 which gives us a look at some of the new franchises and characters on the way, including Adventure Time, Sonic, and more. View the gameplay below.

GameFly recently listed the original Darksiders for Wii U. Nordic Games has now come forward, officially confirming the game for Nintendo’s console. Online features will be present, though that may only extend to Miiverse.

Darksiders will be released physically and digitally during Q4 2016 for €20 (probably $20). Nordic is also readying new merchandise for the franchise.

At San Diego Comic-Con 2016 today, Warner Bros. announced that six collectable expansion packs are launching for LEGO Dimensions on November 18.

Wave 7 includes the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Story Pack, Sonic The Hedgehog Level Pack, and more. All of the LEGO minifigures included in wave 6-9 expansion packs feature special, golden Toy Tags which unlock a Battle Arena within the Adventure World of the corresponding entertainment brand.

Battle Arenas provide players with the “first-to-LEGO videogames competitive split-screen local gameplay for up to four players. Each Battle Arena has four gameplay modes and comes with its own traps, special powers and interactive environments that make every battle arena unique.”

Find the lowdown on all of the new LEGO Dimensions packs slated for November below.
