Rumor: More Twilight Princess HD talk, Wii download listings
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Wii U | 73 Comments
Update: Other Wii download listings on the server include The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Super Paper Mario, Metroid: Other M, Wario Land: Shake It, and Mario Strikers Charged.
Yesterday we made mention of a listing found within Nintendo’s servers for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. It was unclear at the time just how valid that speculation was, but additional evidence has emerged to support the original rumors. Just to be clear, the official description in Nintendo’s database is “The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD” – note the “HD” on the end. But naturally we don’t know what will come from that listing at this time.
Another item found within the same server is for Super Mario Galaxy. Unlike Twilight Princess, this does lacks the “HD” term at the end. It’s listed twice – once for Japan, and again for Europe. Super Mario Galaxy is already out on the Japanese Wii U eShop, but today’s findings could be a sign of an upcoming European release.
Note that even though these listings were absolutely uncovered on Nintendo’s servers, we’re still marking these posts as rumors. It’s always best to maintain some skepticism without an official confirmation!

Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii U | 0 comments
Little Orbit has shared some news regarding pre-order bonuses for Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations. Extras are being offered at both GameStop and Amazon.
By pre-ordering Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations at GameStop on Wii U, you’ll receive the bonus chapter “Artifact Checking”. GameStop’s 3DS bonus is for the Sword of the Dead. Meanwhile, you can reserve any version on Amazon for $5 digital downloads credit.
We have information about each of the pre-order bonuses below.
Gamestop Exclusive Bonus Offer – All Gamestop pre-orders for the PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii U will receive a code to download an exclusive sixth chapter of the game at launch for free! The Artifact Checking bonus chapter will only be available to Gamestop customers and will allow gamers to play as Marceline, the Vampire Queen, a playable character exclusive to this pre-order! Just like the five main chapters in Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations, Artifact Checking plays out like an episode of the show. In it, Finn and Jake discover that Marceline is having a yard sale and is selling off all the magical artifacts hidden in Billy’s Cave! What the stuff?! While Finn and Jake set off to track down Billy’s sword, Marceline must find and retrieve all of the dangerous artifacts she has sold and restore peace and order to the Land of Ooo.
Gamestop Exclusive Bonus Offer for Nintendo 3DS – Every Gamestop 3DS pre-order will receive an exclusive code to unlock the powerfully-awesome Sword of the Dead at launch! Striking an enemy with this sword temporarily turns that baddie into a ghost warrior homie that fights alongside Finn and Jake for short period of time. When the ghostly form wears off that enemy is defeated. The Sword of the Dead is one of five magical swords in the game, and once these blades are in a player’s inventory they can be swapped on the fly. When it’s “Ability Time” each sword wields a unique power. Schmowza!!
Amazon Exclusive Bonus Offer – Customers who pre-order Adventure Time: Finn and Jake Investigations at Amazon will receive a BONUS for digital downloads at launch worth $5. Players can customize their device with Adventure Time ringtones, wallpapers, icons and more. Mathematical!

At Japan Expo in Paris this Summer, both Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka were present at a panel / stage show and talked a bit about their creations during their time at Nintendo. Mario was an especially big topic, given the series 30th anniversary this year. The video below is a small excerpt from the show. Among other things, Tezuka and Miyamoto talk about level design in Super Mario Maker and give tips on how to build a great level.
LEGO Jurassic World has sold about 4 million copies

LEGO Jurassic World launched back in June. Since then, it has sold roughly four million units, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. It’s not known how much LEGO Jurassic World sold on Wii U and 3DS specifically, but Warner Bros. must be happy with the game’s sales overall.
Rumor: Zelda: Twilight Princess icon found within the Wii U eShop
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Rumors, Wii U | 31 Comments
NWPlayer123, a person known within the gaming scene for data mining various games such as Splatoon, posted a brief chat she had with another person who has been snooping around the Wii U eShop. Supposedly, Nintendo recently added in a new title ID for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It’s not quite clear if this would be referring to a simple re-release of the Wii game or an HD version (though the latter is mentioned in the conversation).
It’s not possible to download anything from the eShop. Only the home icon was recovered – it’s actually the image above, but smaller.
It’s true that this could have been a test or an error on Nintendo’s part. I’d personally assume that if it was intentional, there are only plans to bring the original Wii game over much like Super Mario Galaxy 2 and other titles.
