Wii U

At Japan Expo in Paris this Summer, both Shigeru Miyamoto and Takashi Tezuka were present at a panel / stage show and talked a bit about their creations during their time at Nintendo. Mario was an especially big topic, given the series 30th anniversary this year. The video below is a small excerpt from the show. Among other things, Tezuka and Miyamoto talk about level design in Super Mario Maker and give tips on how to build a great level.

LEGO Jurassic World launched back in June. Since then, it has sold roughly four million units, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal. It’s not known how much LEGO Jurassic World sold on Wii U and 3DS specifically, but Warner Bros. must be happy with the game’s sales overall.

NWPlayer123, a person known within the gaming scene for data mining various games such as Splatoon, posted a brief chat she had with another person who has been snooping around the Wii U eShop. Supposedly, Nintendo recently added in a new title ID for The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. It’s not quite clear if this would be referring to a simple re-release of the Wii game or an HD version (though the latter is mentioned in the conversation).

It’s not possible to download anything from the eShop. Only the home icon was recovered – it’s actually the image above, but smaller.

It’s true that this could have been a test or an error on Nintendo’s part. I’d personally assume that if it was intentional, there are only plans to bring the original Wii game over much like Super Mario Galaxy 2 and other titles.

Just a few days ago, Nintendo brought out the Splatoon artbook in Japan. More photos of the various pages have since surfaced showing things like female Inkling and Callie/Marie concepts, Octavio storyboard, and more. Take a look at all of the images below.
