Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is almost here, and Digital Foundry is back with a new technical analysis covering topics such as frame rate and resolution. One of the big takeaways is that the team opted for a different visual approach compared to the first game, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle.

Oddworld: Soulstorm release date

Oddworld: Soulstorm is almost ready to go on the Switch, and a release date has now been announced. We now have confirmation that the North American launch is lined up for November 8, 2022. Europe will be getting the game a bit earlier on October 27.

Sonic Frontiers Cyber Space DJ Mix

SEGA is offering another preview of the Sonic Frontiers soundtrack with another piece of music, “Cyber Space DJ Mix”. Tomoya Ohtani was in charge of the arrangement and composition. 

Sonic Frontiers will be largely open zone. However, players can also enter Cyber Space levels which feature the kind of 3D platforming levels the series was known for previously.

Splatoon 3

Thanks to GamesIndustry, we have new insight into the UK gaming market for September 2022.

For Nintendo, Splatoon 3 was a big winner of the month. It was the second best-selling physical game in the UK for September. It was #4 overall, but keep in mind that Nintendo doesn’t report digital sales.

Terraria update 1.4.4.1

Terraria has received another update on Switch, bringing the game to version 1.4.4.1. This follows the major “Labor of Love” patch from late last month.

A ton of bug fixes are included as well as a few additions / changes. We have the full patch notes for the Terraria version 1.4.4.1 update below. 

Harvestella improvements

Those that played the recent Harvestella demo will be happy to hear that Square Enix is implementing multiple improvements based on player feedback. These include better load times, adjustments, and bug fixes.

ANNO: Mutationem physical

Limited Run Games has revealed its latest physical release, and we now know that ANNO: Mutationem will be seeing the boxed treatment.

Alongside a standard version, a Deluxe Edition is planned. The Deluxe Edition contains a few extras, including a keychain, poster, and official soundtrack on CD.
