Shu Takumi is largely known for the Ace Attorney series. But Takumi also created Ghost Trick, an under-appreciated DS (and iOS) game that came out just a few years ago.

Capcom has already given Ace Attorney the crossover treatment in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. Could a mingling of the Ace Attorney and Ghost Trick IPs also happen one day? While nothing is confirmed, Takumi “would love to see” it happen.

Takumi talked about the possibility in this month’s issue of ONM. Here’s the full exchange between the two:

ONM: Could you imagine an Ace Attorney/Ghost Trick crossover? Any deaths that we couldn’t prevent by way of possession could then go to trial in a courtroom…

Takumi: …or Phoenix Wright could be killed and Sissel could prosecute his killer in court! Whatever form it might take, a crossover between these games is something I would love to see happen.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has reached its first stretch goal on Kickstarter. Having raised $500,000, the game will now include a Risky Mode.

Risky Mode will allow players to tackle two full campaigns. There will be a main storyline featuring Shantae, and an alternate plot with Risky Boots taking center stage.

Shantae: Half-Genie Hero has four days left to reach additional stretch goals.

Midgar Studio has launched a Kickstarter for a project known as “Edge of Eternity”. The developer describes its game as “a new RPG that will lead you to experience a unique and unusual universe. The action takes place in a world whose design combines some steampunk influence – the best Japanese RPG – and Medieval age influences.”

According to Midgar, the plan is to have Edge of Eternity on practically every platform – Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PS Vita, and more. First, though, the team will need to raise $200,000 to secure funding. There’s also a $600,000 goal which will allow Midgar to create “a new version of the game using all the HD and resources of the next gen platforms”.

What is Game Night? You can find details right here.

Batman: Arkham Origins producer Guillaume Voghel has shared a bit more about the game’s Initiation DLC.

Late last week, Warner Bros. shared details regarding Origins’s season pass, including one of the first tidbits about the new content. Initiation allows players to play as Bruce Wayne before he became Batman, “and face his final test to prove himself worthy to his greatest teacher, Kirigi.”

Voghel recently told Eurogamer of the DLC:

“You play as Bruce Wayne learning to be a ninja. That’s a really cool one. Narratively there’s some added content that will give players a little more background story.”

“[But] it’s not League of Assassins, it’s ninja-related. It’s when he learned to be a ninja and learned those techniques. He goes to a monastery – custom content was created for the DLC. You’ll be in Asia in the monastery. The team did a great job on that, it looks really good.”

Takashi Tateishi, the composer of Mega Man 2, is on board for Mighty No. 9’s development. Mega Man 1 composer Manami Matsumae and Inti Creates’ action-music veteran Ippo Yamada were previously confirmed for the project.
