When RPG Maker Fes came out on 3DS years ago and I had the pleasure of reviewing it, I spent countless hours creating short titles as I learned the basics of game development in an intuitive fashion. Being able to not only create, but share your work with others while having a seemingly endless supply of content made it a consistently great time for those that wanted to play simple experiences on-the-go. Even better, despite its name, RPG Maker lends itself nicely other sorts of genres as well. RPG Maker MV on Switch now sees the application migrate to Nintendo’s newest platform. Despite having one less screen, the system lends itself well as a creative canvas to see video game ideas come to life with a retro aesthetic.

nWay has announced that Lauren Shiba, otherwise known as the Red Samurai Ranger from Power Rangers: Super Samurai, is joining Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid this month. The character will be available as the second DLC character in Season 3 on September 15.

Other content for Season 3, which are out now, include Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger Robert “RJ” James, Phantom Beast King character skin for Dai Shi (exclusive to Season 3 Pass), and Samurai Megazord. The third and final character for Season 3 will be announced “soon”.

The official website for Super Mario 3D All-Stars contains a trio of trailers for Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. We have the full set in the video below.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is slated for September 18 on Switch. Access the official website here.

Tin & Kuna launches physically and digitally for Switch on September 10.

World of Tanks: Blitz has seen some rather interesting collaborations. Over the years, the game has teamed up with franchises like Valkyria Chronicles and Girls und Panzer, which wasn’t exactly expected. So when we were given the chance to speak with Wargaming’s Thaine Lyman about the new Switch release, we had to ask if something like an Advance Wars collaboration could be in the cards.

Unsurprisingly, there’s nothing that’s actually in the works at present. However, Lyman did tell Nintendo Everything that Advance Wars is one of his favorite Nintendo franchises, and he’d “love to do something with that entire game universe.” He added, “The future with Nintendo is full of nothing but possibility.”

Spike Chunsoft has shared new details about the collector’s edition for Re:Zero – Starting Life in Another World The Prophecy of the Throne.

The package art was drawn by the series artist Shinichirou Otsuka. Copies will include four exclusive, limited run only original pins in a display box, featuring Emilia, Subaru, Rem, and a brand-new character Melty, a full-color art book including concept art, sketches, and commentary with a special foreword from the creators, a steelbook collector’s display case, the official soundtrack containing original music from the game, and the collector’s edition outerbox.

3D Realms, 1C Entertainment, and Slipgate Ironworks today announced that Graven, a dark-fantasy action-adventure game that’s a spiritual successor to Hexen 2, is coming to Switch. A release is planned for 2021.

Here’s an overview of Graven, along with a trailer:

When we last heard about Baldo, it was on track to launch sometime this summer. However, Nintendo’s website listing for the game has been updated, and now shows a release date of “TBD”. It also doesn’t help that fall will be starting in a couple of weeks, so Naps Team wouldn’t have much time to hit that summer window in any case.

Baldo received a great deal of attention after it was shown during an Indie World Showcase earlier this year. For those that haven’t heard about the project previously, check out the following overview and trailer:

Andy Biar was heavily involved with the creation of the Mario Kart ride at Super Nintendo World. As an engineer, he and his team tackled a number of issues during development, including having only one test track and taking on a challenge less than a day before meeting with Nintendo.

Biar outlined the experience of working on the Mario Kart ride in a recent blog post. Read the full backstory on its creation below.

There’s another distribution happening in Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield, though the window for it is very short. During the Pokemon Korea 2020 Champion Invitational live stream, a code was shared to obtain the King’s Rock item.
